73:9

وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

So remember the name of thy Lord, and devote thyself to Him with full devotion.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس اپنے ربّ کے نام کا ذکر کر اور اس کی طرف پوری طرح منقطع ہوتا ہؤا الگ ہوجا۔

French

Aussi souviens-toi du nom de ton Seigneur, et dévoue-toi à Lui d’un dévouement total.

So gedenke des Namens deines Herrn und weihe dich Ihm ausschließlich.

你要记念你养主的 (一切常德的) 名字, 要向他完全地贡献自己。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور چاہیے کہ تو اپنے رب کی صفات کو یاد کیا کر اور اسی سے دل لگایا کر۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

So remember the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him with full devotion.

English - Five Volume Translation

So remember the name of thy Lord, and devote thyself to Him with full devotion.[4420]

Important Words:

تبتل (devote) is derived from بتل (battala). They say بتله i.e. he severed it or separated it from another thing. بتل الی الله means, he detached himself from worldly things and devoted himself exclusively and sincerely to the service of God. بتول means, a woman detached from worldly things and entirely devoted to God (Lane & Aqrab).

Commentary:

In this verse the Holy Prophet is told that he could accomplish his heavy task of reforming a corrupt community and preparing it for the leadership of the world by devoting himself completely to God.

اپنے رب کے نام کا ذکر کیا کرو اور سب سے کٹ کر اسی کے ہو رہو

English - Sahih

And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور اپنے رب کا نام لیا کرو اور سب سے الگ ہو کر اسی کی طرف آ جاؤ

English - Talal Itani

And remember (the) name (of) your Lord and devote yourself to Him (with) devotion.
