اِنَّ ہٰذَاۤ اَخِیۡ لَہٗ تِسۡعٌ وَّتِسۡعُوۡنَ نَعۡجَۃً وَّلِیَ نَعۡجَۃٌ وّٰحِدَۃٌ فَقَالَ اَکۡفِلۡنِیۡہَا وَعَزَّنِیۡ فِی الۡخِطَابِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

“This is my brother; he has ninety-nine ewes, and I have one ewe. Yet he says, ‘Give it to me,’ and has been overbearing to me in his address.”

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً یہ میرا بھائی ہے۔ اس کی ننانوے دُنبیاں ہیں اور میری صرف ایک دُنبی ہے۔ پھر بھی یہ کہتا ہے کہ اسے بھی میری ملکیت میں شامل کر دے اور بحث میں مجھ پر غالب آ جاتا ہے۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

یہ میرا بھائی ہے اس کی ننانوے[2] دنبیاں ہیں اور میری صرف ایک دُنبی ہے پھر بھی وہ کہتا ہے کہ اپنی دنبی مجھے دے دے۔ اور بحث میں مجھے دباتا جاتا ہے۔

مفسر کہتے ہیں حضرت داؤدؑ کی ننانوے بیویاں تھیں‘ مگر ایک جرنیل کی بیوی آپ کو پسند آگئی۔ انہوں نے جرنیل کو خطرناک مقام پر بھجوا دیا تا مارا جائے پھر اس کی بیوی پر قبضہ کرلیا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے سبق دینے کے لئے فرشتوں کو بھیجا جنہوں نے نعوذ باللہ یہ دُنبیوں والا جھوٹ بنایا۔ لیکن حقیقت یہ ہے کہ حضرت داؤدؑ کی بادشاہت جب لمبی ہو گئی تو ان کے دشمنوں نے سر اٹھانا شروع کیا۔ اور ان کے دشمن گھر میں کُود کر آگئے۔ جب حضرت داؤدؑ کو چوکس پایا تو ڈر گئے کہ ایک آواز پر باڈی گارڈ جمع ہو جائیں گے اور گھبراہٹ میں یہ قصہ گھڑ کر سنایا۔ جس کی تعبیر درحقیقت یہ تھی کہ انہوں نے حضرت داؤدؑ پر یہ ا

English - Short Commentary Translation

“Now this my brother has ninety-nine ewes, and I have only one ewe. Yet he says, ‘Give it to me,’ and he has been overbearing to me in his address.”[2524]

This verse refers to the story which the two intending murderers of David, finding him quite vigilant, seemed to have invented, at the spur of the moment, in an endeavour to disabuse his mind of any misgiving he might have entertained about them, and to set his fear at rest.

یہ میرا بھائی ہے، اِس کے پاس ننانوے دنبیاں ہیں اور میرے پاس صرف ایک ہی دُنبی ہے اِس نے مجھ سے کہا کہ یہ ایک دنبی بھی میرے حوالے کر دے اور اس نے گفتگو میں مجھے دبا لیا"
