۞ وَٱكْتُبْ لَنَا فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ۚ قَالَ عَذَابِىٓ أُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنْ أَشَآءُ ۖ وَرَحْمَتِى وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ ۚ فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘And ordain for us good in this world, as well as in the next; we have turned to Thee with repentance.’ God replied, ‘I will inflict My punishment on whom I will; but My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it for those who act righteously, and pay the Zakat and those who believe in Our Signs —
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور ہمارے لئے اس دنیا میں بھی حَسَنَہ لکھ دے اور آخرت میں بھی۔ یقیناً ہم تیری طرف (توبہ کرتے ہوئے) آگئے ہیں۔ اس نے کہا میرا عذاب وہ ہے کہ جس پر میں چاہوں اس کو وارد کر دیتا ہوں اور میری رحمت وہ ہے کہ ہر چیز پرحاوی ہے۔ پس میں اُس (رحمت) کو ان لوگوں کے لئے واجب کر دوں گا جو تقویٰ اختیار کرتے ہیں اور زکوٰۃ دیتے ہیں اور وہ جو ہماری آیات پر ایمان لاتے ہیں۔
French
Et décrète du bien pour nous ici-bas, ainsi que dans l’au-delà ; nous nous sommes tournés vers Toi avec repentir. » Allāh répondit : « Je ferai subir Mon châtiment à ceux que je veux ; mais Ma miséricorde se répand sur toutes choses et Je la prescrirai donc à ceux qui agissent avec droiture et paient la Zakāt et à ceux qui croient à Nos Signes –

Und bestimme für uns Gutes in dieser Welt sowohl wie in der künftigen, denn zu Dir haben wir uns reuig gekehrt.» Er antwortete: "Ich treffe mit Meiner Strafe, wen Ich will*; doch Meine Barmherzigkeit umfasst jedes Ding; so werde Ich sie bestimmen für jene, die recht handeln und die Zakât zahlen und die an Unsere Zeichen glauben."

Dios respondió: “Azoto con Mi castigo a quien me place; pero Mi misericordia abarca todas las cosas; por ello la decretaré para los que actúan justamente, pagan el Zakat y para los que creen en Nuestros Signos.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور تو ہمارے لئے اس دنیا میں بھی نیکی لکھ اور آخری زندگی میں بھی (نیکی لکھ) ہم تو تیری طرف آگئے ہیں (اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے) فرمایا میں اپنا عذاب جس کو چاہتا ہوں پہنچاتا ہوں (یعنی مستحق کو) اور میری رحمت[2] ہر ایک چیز کو حاوی ہے پس میں ضرور اس کو ان لوگوں کے لئے لکھوں [3]گا جو تقویٰ اختیار کرتے ہیں اور زکٰوۃ دیتے ہیں اور جو لوگ ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں۔
یعنی کبھی بلاوجہ عذاب نہیں دیتا بلکہ اکثر بخش دیتا ہوں۔
یعنی رحمت کافروں کو بھی پہنچے گی۔ مگر مومنوں کے لئے تو اسے فرض کر دیا گیا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
‘And [a]ordain for us good in this world, as well as in the next; we have turned to Thee with repentance,’ Allah replied, [b]I will inflict My punishment on whom I will; but [c]My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it for those who act righteously and pay the Zakat and those who believe in Our Signs—

‘And [a]ordain for us good in this world, as well as in the next; we have turned to Thee with repentance.’ God replied, [b]‘I will inflict My punishment on whom I will; but [c]My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it for those who act righteously, and pay the Zakah and those who believe in Our Signs.[1046]

Commentary:
The sentence, so I will ordain it for those who act righteously and pay the Zakah and those who believe in Our Signs, consists of two parts. The first part, i.e. those who act righteously and pay the Zakah refers to those of the Israelites who sincerely believed in Moses and acted righteously, while the second part, i.e. and those who believe in Our signs, refers to the believers in the Prophets that were yet to come, particularly the Holy Prophet of Islam, as the following verse points out.

اور ہمارے لیے اس دنیا کی بھلائی بھی لکھ دیجیے اور آخرت کی بھی، ہم نے آپ کی طرف رجوع کر لیا" جواب میں ارشاد ہوا "سزا تو میں جسے چاہتا ہوں دیتا ہوں، مگر میری رحمت ہر چیز پر چھائی ہوئی ہے، اور اُسے میں اُن لوگوں کے حق میں لکھوں گا جو نافرمانی سے پرہیز کریں گے، زکوٰۃ دیں گے اور میری آیات پر ایمان لائیں گے"
English - Sahih
And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -

او رہمارے لیے اس دنیا میں اور آخرت میں بھلائی لکھ ہم نے تیری طرف رجوع کیا فرمایا میں اپنا عذاب جسے چاہتا ہوں کرتا ہوں اور میری رحمت سب چیزوں سے وسیع ہے پس وہ رحمت ان کے لیے لکھوں گا جو ڈرتے ہیں اجور جو زکواة دیتے ہیں اور جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں
