مَّنۡ عَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَلِنَفۡسِہٖ ۖ وَمَنۡ اَسَآءَ فَعَلَیۡہَا ۗ وَمَا رَبُّکَ بِظَلّٰمٍ لِّلۡعَبِیۡدِ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Whoso does right, it is for his own soul; and whoso does evil, it will only go against it. And thy Lord is not at all unjust to His servants.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
جو بھی نیک اعمال بجالائے تو اپنے ہی نفس کی خاطر ایسا کرتا ہے اور جو کوئی برائی کرے تو اُسی کے خلاف کرتا ہے اور تیرا ربّ بے چارے بندوں پر ذرّہ بھر بھی ظلم کرنے والا نہیں۔
French
Quiconque fait le bien, c’est pour sa propre âme ; et quiconque fait le mal, c’est uniquement contre elle. Et ton Seigneur n’est nullement injuste envers Ses serviteurs.
German
Wer das Rechte tut, es ist für seine eigene Seele; und wer Böses tut, es ist wider sie. Und dein Herr ist niemals ungerecht gegen die Diener.

Quien actúa rectamente, lo hace para su propia alma; y quien practica el mal, sólo actuará contra ella. Y tu Señor no es en absoluto injusto con Sus siervos.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
جو شخص ایمان کے مطابق عمل کرے تو اس کا فائدہ اس کی اپنی جان کو پہنچتا ہے اور جو بداعمالی کرے اُس کا عذاب بھی اسی پر نازل ہوتا ہے اور تیرا رب اپنے بندوں پر کوئی ظلم نہیں[1] کرتا۔
آیت میں ظَلَّام کا لفظ ہے جس کے معنے ہیں کہ تیرا رب اپنے بندوں پر بڑا ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ہے‘ اس کے یہ معنے نہیں ہیں کہ تھوڑا سا ظلم کر لیتا ہے۔ بلکہ یہ عربی زبان کا محاورہ ہے کہ جب مبالغہ پر نفی آئے تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہوتا ہے کہ نہ بہت‘نہ تھوڑا۔ جیسے قَلِیْل کا لفظ استعمال کرتے ہیں اور اس کے معنے نہ تھوڑا‘نہ بہت کے ہوتے ہیں۔

جو کوئی نیک عمل کرے گا اپنے ہی لیے اچھا کرے گا، جو بدی کرے گا اس کا وبال اُسی پر ہوگا، اور تیرا رب اپنے بندوں کے حق میں ظالم نہیں ہے
English - Sahih
Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.

آیت میں ظَلَّام کا لفظ ہے جس کے معنے ہیں کہ تیرا رب اپنے بندوں پر بڑا ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ہے‘ اس کے یہ معنے نہیں ہیں کہ تھوڑا سا ظلم کر لیتا ہے۔ بلکہ یہ عربی زبان کا محاورہ ہے کہ جب مبالغہ پر نفی آئے تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہوتا ہے کہ نہ بہت‘نہ تھوڑا۔ جیسے قَلِیْل کا لفظ استعمال کرتے ہیں اور اس کے معنے نہ تھوڑا‘نہ بہت کے ہوتے ہیں۔

جو کوئی ایمان کے مطابق عمل کرتا ہے اس کا فائدہ اسی کی جان کو پہنچتا ہے اور جو کوئی برے کام کرتا ہے اس کا نقصان[1] (بھی) اسی کی جان کو پہنچتا ہے پھر تم اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹا کر لے جائے جاؤ گے۔
یہاں عَلٰی کا صلہ ہے جس کے معنے کسی مخالف چیز کے ہوتے ہیں۔ اس لئے ہم نے اس کا ترجمہ نقصان کیا ہے۔
