English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
The case of those who take helpers beside Allah is like unto the case of the spider, who makes for herself a house; and surely the frailest of all houses is the house of the spider, if they but knew!

اُن لوگوں کی مثال جنہوں نے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اَور دوست بنائے مکڑی کی طرح ہے اُس نے بھی ایک گھر بنایا اور تمام گھروں میں یقیناً مکڑی ہی کا گھر سب سے زیادہ کمزور ہوتا ہے۔ کاش وہ یہ جانتے۔

Le cas de ceux qui prennent des protecteurs en dehors d’Allāh est comme le cas de l’araignée, qui se fait une sorte de demeure ; et assurément la plus frêle des demeures est la demeure de l’araignée, si seulement ils savaient !

ان لوگوں کا حال جنہوں نے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اور دوست بنا لیے‘ مکڑی کا سا حال ہے‘ جس نے (اپنے لئے) ایک گھر تو بنایا لیکن گھروں میں سب سے کمزور گھر مکڑی کا ہی ہوتا ہے کاش! کہ یہ لوگ جانتے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
The case of those who take helpers beside Allah is like unto the case of the spider that takes to itself a house; and, surely, the frailest[2254] of all houses is the house of the spider, if they but knew.
The subject of the Unity of God with which the Surah primarily deals is brought to a close in this verse with a beautiful metaphor which drives home to polytheists the folly, futility and falsity of idolatrous beliefs and practices. They are as frail as the web of a spider and cannot stand intelligent criticism.

Commentary:
In the previous several verses arguments have been given in refutation of Shirk and brief references have been made to the lives and missions of some of the greatest preachers of Divine Unity to show that those who rejected them ultimately came to grief. This subject of the Unity of God is brought to a close in this verse with a beautiful metaphor which drives home the folly, futility and falsity of idolatrous beliefs and practices of polytheists. They are as frail, says the verse, as the web of a spider and cannot stand intelligent criticism.

The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.

اوراللہ نے اُن لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان لائے فرعون کی بیوی کی مثال دی ہے۔ جب اس نے کہا اے میرے ربّ! میرے لئے اپنے حضور جنت میں ایک گھر بنادے اور مجھے فرعون سے اور اس کے عمل سے بچالے اور مجھے ان ظالم لوگوں سے نجات بخش۔

God has struck a similitude for the believers -- the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, 'My Lord, build for me a house in Paradise, in Thy presence, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and do Thou deliver me from the people of the evildoers.'

Allah has set forth for the believers the parable of Pharaoh's wife. She prayed: “My Lord, build for me a house with You in Paradise and deliver me from Pharaoh and his misdeeds; and deliver me from the iniquitous people.”
