قُلْ إِن ضَلَلْتُ فَإِنَّمَآ أَضِلُّ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِى ۖ وَإِنِ ٱهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوحِىٓ إِلَىَّ رَبِّىٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ سَمِيعٌ قَرِيبٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Say, ‘ If I err, I err only against myself; and if I am rightly guided, it is because of what my Lord has revealed to me. Verily, He is All-Hearing, Nigh.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
تُو کہہ دے کہ اگر میں گمراہ ہو جاﺅں تو میں خود اپنے نفس کے (مفاد کے) خلاف گمراہ ہوں گا اور اگر میں ہدایت پاجاؤں تو (ایسا محض) اس لئے (ہوگا) کہ میرا ربّ میری طرف وحی کرتا ہے۔ یقیناً وہ بہت سننے والا (اور) قریب رہنے والا ہے۔
French
Dis : « Si je m’égare, je m’égare seulement à mon propre détriment ; et si je suis bien guidé, c’est grâce à ce que m’a révélé mon Seigneur. En vérité, Il entend très bien et est Proche. »

Sprich: "Wenn ich irre, so irre ich nur wider mich selbst; und wenn ich rechtgeleitet bin, so ist es durch das, was mein Herr mir offenbart hat. Wahrlich, Er ist der Allhörende, der Nahe."

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تو کہہ دے کہ اگر میں گمراہ ہوں تو میری گمراہی کا وبال صرف میری ذات پر پڑے گا اور اگر میں ہدایت پر ہوں تو صرف اس وحی کی وجہ سے ہوں جو میرے رب نے مجھ پر نازل کی ہے وہ یقیناً بہت دعائیں سننے والا (اور) بندے کے پاس ہی موجود رہنے والا ہے۔

کہو "اگر میں گمراہ ہو گیا ہوں تو میری گمراہی کا وبال مجھ پر ہے، اور اگر میں ہدایت پر ہوں تو اُس وحی کی بنا پر ہوں جو میرا رب میرے اوپر نازل کرتا ہے، وہ سب کچھ سنتا ہے اور قریب ہی ہے"

اسی طرح اللہ تجھ پر بھی وحی کرتا ہے اور اُن پر بھی (وحی کر چکا ہے) جو (لوگ) تجھ سے پہلے گذر چکے ہیں وہ غالب بھی ہے (اور) حکمت والا بھی ہے۔

The Surah opens with the important subject of revelation of the Quran as implied in the Divine attributes Ha Mim, placed at its beginning.

اِسی طرح اللہ غالب و حکیم تمہاری طرف اور تم سے پہلے گزرے ہوئے (رسولوں) کی طرف وحی کرتا رہا ہے
