فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا
اس آیت میں بتایا ہے کہ کفار قرآن مجید کے خلاف ہر قسم کی تدبیریں کریں گے۔ اگر وہ جھوٹا ہوتا تو کامیاب نہ ہوتا۔ لیکن چونکہ وہ خدا کی طرف سے ہے۔ جب وہ خداتعالیٰ کے کلام کو مٹانے کی کوشش کریں گے تو وہ بھی ان کو مٹانے کی تدبیریں کرے گا۔ اور نتیجہ یہی نکلے گا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ جیت جائے گا اور وہ ہار جائیں گے۔ ہاں جیسا کہ الٰہی سنت ہے عذاب ذرا دیر سے آتا ہے۔ اور اسی کی طرف اس اٹھارھویں آیت میں اشارہ کیا ہے جس میں کہا ہے کہ اے رسول! کفار کو مہلت دے یعنی مہلت دینے کے نتیجہ میں وہ اپنا سارا زور اسلام کے مٹانے میں لگا دیں گے اور یہ کہنے کا موقعہ ان کو نہیں ملے گا کہ ہم کو مسلمانوں کے تب
