سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
It is equal to them whether thou ask forgiveness for them or ask not forgiveness for them, Allah will never forgive them. Surely Allah guides not the rebellious people.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
ان پر برابر ہے خواہ تُو ان کے لئے بخشش طلب کرے یا ان کے لئے بخشش نہ طلب کرے۔ اللہ ہرگز انہیں نہیں بخشے گا۔ یقیناً اللہ فاسق لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا۔

Cela leur est égal que tu implores le pardon pour eux, ou que tu n’implores pas le pardon pour eux. Allāh ne leur pardonnera jamais. Assurément, Allāh ne guide pas le peuple rebelle.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تو ان کے لئے استغفار کرے یا استغفار نہ کرے ان کے حق میں سب برابر ہے کیونکہ اللہ ان کو کبھی معاف نہیں کرے گا (جب تک وہ خود توبہ نہ کریں) اللہ اطاعت سے نکل جانے والی قوم کو کامیابی کا منہ نہیں دکھاتا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
For them it is equal whether thou ask forgiveness for them, or ask not forgiveness for them. [b]Allah will never forgive them. Surely, Allah guides not the rebellious people.

Commentary:
The hypocrites are the real enemies of Islam, much worse than the disbelievers (v. 5). By their secret wicked designs and machinations against Islam they irretrievably condemn themselves. As they have no faith, the verse says, asking forgiveness for them cannot benefit them in any way.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اے نبیؐ، تم چاہے ان کے لیے مغفرت کی دعا کرو یا نہ کرو، ان کے لیے یکساں ہے، اللہ ہرگز انہیں معاف نہ کرے گا، اللہ فاسق لوگوں کو ہرگز ہدایت نہیں دیتا
English - Sahih
It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
