ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّہُمۡ شَآقُّوا اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوۡلَہٗ ۚ وَمَنۡ یُّشَاقِقِ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوۡلَہٗ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ شَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
That is because they have opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoso opposes Allah and His Messenger, then Allah is surely severe in retribution.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
یہ اس لئے ہے کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی سخت مخالفت کی اور جو بھی اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کرتا ہے تو یقیناً اللہ سزا دینے میں بہت سخت ہے۔
French
La raison en est qu’ils se sont opposés à Allāh et à Son Messager. Et envers ceux qui s’opposent à Allāh et à Son Messager, Allāh est en vérité sévère en rétribution.
German
Dies, weil sie Allah Trotz boten und Seinem Gesandten. Wer aber Allah und Seinem Gesandten Trotz bietet – wahrlich, Allah ist streng im Strafen.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
یہ اس لئے ہوگا کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کی ہے اور جو کوئی اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کرتا ہے (اسے سمجھ لینا چاہیئے کہ) اللہ بڑی سخت سزا [4]دینے والا ہے۔
اس کے یہ معنے نہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی جو سزائیں ہیں ان میں سے وہ سب سے زیادہ سخت سزا نازل کرتا ہے بلکہ یہ مراد ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی سب سزائیں سخت ہوتی ہیں۔

English - Sahih
That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger - indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

یہ اس لیے ہے کہ وہ الله اوراس کے رسول کے مخالف ہیں اور جو کوئی اللہ اور اس کےرسول کا مخالف ہو تو بے شک الله سخت عذب دینے والا ہے

اس کے یہ معنے نہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی جو سزائیں ہیں ان میں سے وہ سب سے زیادہ سخت سزا نازل کرتا ہے بلکہ یہ مراد ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی سب سزائیں سخت ہوتی ہیں۔

That, because they had made a breach with God and with His Messenger; and whosoever makes a breach with God and with His Messenger, surely God is terrible in retribution.

This is because they defied Allah and His Messenger. Whoever defies Allah and His Messenger must know that Allah is severe in punishment.

Los que no creen y apartan a los hombres del camino de Al-lah, oponiéndose al Mensajero después de que la guía se les ha hecho evidente, no perjudicarán a Al-lah en lo más mínimo y Él hará estériles sus obras.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا ہے اور اللہ کے راستہ سے (لوگوں کو) روکتے ہیں اور رسول سے ہدایت کے ظاہر ہو جانے کے بعد اختلاف کرتے ہیں۔ یہ لوگ اللہ کو کچھ بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچائیں گے‘ بلکہ وہ (اللہ) ان کے اعمال کو ضائع کر دے گا۔

جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکا اور رسول سے جھگڑا کیا جبکہ ان پر راہ راست واضح ہو چکی تھی، در حقیقت وہ اللہ کا کوئی نقصان بھی نہیں کر سکتے، بلکہ اللہ ہی ان کا سب کیا کرایا غارت کر دے گا

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.

English - Arberry
Those who disbelieve and bar from God's way and make a breach with the Messenger after the guidance has become clear to them, they will nothing hurt God, and He will make their works to fail.

Those who disbelieved and barred others from Allah's Way and opposed the Messenger after the True Guidance had become manifest to them, they shall not be able to cause Allah the least harm; rather, Allah will reduce all their works to nought.
