قُلۡ اَرَءَیۡتُمۡ اِنۡ جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ عَلَیۡکُمُ الَّیۡلَ سَرۡمَدًا اِلٰی یَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ مَنۡ اِلٰہٌ غَیۡرُ اللّٰہِ یَاۡتِیۡکُمۡ بِضِیَآءٍ ۖ اَفَلَا تَسۡمَعُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Say, ‘Tell me, if Allah make the night continue over you till the Day of Resurrection, what God is there besides Allah who could bring you light? Will you not then hearken?’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
تُو کہہ دے کہ مجھے بتاؤ تو سہی کہ اگر اللہ تم پر رات قیامت کے دن تک دراز کر دے تو اللہ کے سوا کون معبود ہے جو تمہارے پاس کوئی روشنی لا سکے؟ پس کیا تم سنو گے نہیں؟
French
Dis : « Dites-moi, si Allāh faisait durer sur vous la nuit jusqu’au Jour de la Résurrection, quel dieu y a-t-il en dehors d’Allāh qui pourrait vous apporter la lumière ? Ne voulez-vous donc pas prêter l’oreille ? »

Sprich: "Saget mir, wenn Allah die Nacht dauern ließe über euch bis zum Tage der Auferstehung, welcher Gott außer Allah könnte euch ein Licht bringen? Wollt ihr denn nicht hören?"

你 (对他们) 说: “你们告诉我, 如果安拉为你们把黑夜延长到复生日, 那么, 除了安拉以外, 还有哪个受崇拜的对象能把光明赐给你们? 你们为什么不听从?”

Dì: «Ditemi, se Allah rendesse perenne la notte sopra di voi, fino al Giorno della risurrezione, quale dio c'è, oltre ad Allah, che è in grado di darvi la luce? Non volete dunque dare ascolto?»

Diles: “Decidme, si Al‑lah hiciera la noche continua sobre vosotros hasta el Día de la Resurrección; ¿qué dios existe fuera de Al‑lah que pudiera devolveros la luz? ¿No escucharéis pues?
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تو (ان سے) کہہ‘ مجھے بتاؤ[1] تو سہی اگر اللہ تمہارے لئے قیامت کے دن تک رات کو لمبا کر دے تو اللہ کے سوا اور کون ہے جو تمہارے پاس روشنی لائے گا؟ کیا تم سنتے نہیں۔
اَرَءَ یْتُمْ محاورہ ہے جس کے معنے ہیں مجھے خبر دو۔

Say, ‘Tell me, if Allah should make the night to continue perpetually over you till the Day of Resurrection, what god is there other than Allah who could bring you light? Will you not then hearken?’

اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اے نبیؐ، اِن سے کہو کبھی تم لوگوں نے غور کیا کہ اگر اللہ قیامت تک تم پر ہمیشہ کے لیے رات طاری کر دے تو اللہ کے سوا وہ کونسا معبود ہے جو تمہیں روشنی لا دے؟ کیا تم سُنتے نہیں ہو؟

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you light? Then will you not hear?"

کہہ دو بھلا یہ تو بتاؤ اگر الله تم پر ہمیشہ کے لیے قیامت تک رات ہی رہنے دے تو الله کے سوا کون سا معبود ہے جو تمہارے لیے روشنی لائے کیا تم سنتے نہیں ہو

Say, "Have you seen if Allah made for you the night continuous till (the) Day (of) the Resurrection, who (is the) god besides Allah who could bring you light? Then will not you hear?"

Say: 'What think you? If God should make the night unceasing over you, until the Day of Resurrection, what god other than God shall bring you illumination? Will you not hear?'
