تُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۖ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

‘Thou makest the night pass into the day and makest the day pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead and bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest to whomsoever Thou pleasest without measure.’
3:191

إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ

Allah / Created Heavens And EarthEarth (Al-Ard) / Creation Of TheEarth (Al-Ard) / Creations OnKnowledge (‘Ilm) / Qur’an For Attainment OfNight / Signs Of AllahScience / Day And NightSigns / Of CreationUniverse / Created With Purpose

In the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of the night and the day there are indeed Signs for men of understanding;
6:14

۞ وَلَهُۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Attributes Of Allah / Al-‘alim (All-Knowing)Attributes Of Allah / As-Sami‘ (The All-Hearing)Night / Signs Of Allah

To Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day. And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
6:97

فَالِقُ ٱلْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ

Attributes Of Allah / Al-Faliq (The Breaker, Cleaver)CalendarDawnMoonNight / For RestNight / Signs Of AllahSleep (Naum)Sun / And Moon

He causes the break of day; and He made the night for rest and the sun and the moon for reckoning time. That is the decree of the Mighty, the Wise.
7:5

وَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَٰتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَآئِلُونَ

City (Ummul-Qura) / Destroyed As PunishmentNight / Calamity, Death AtNight / Signs Of Allah

How many a town have We destroyed! And Our punishment came upon it by night or while they slept at noon.
7:55

إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُۥ حَثِيثًا وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ وَٱلنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَٰتٍۭ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلْخَلْقُ وَٱلْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Surely, your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods; then He settled Himself on the Throne. He makes the night cover the day, which pursues it swiftly. And He created the sun and the moon and the stars, all made subservient by His command. Verily, His is the creation and the command. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
7:98

أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا بَيَٰتًا وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ

Night / Calamity, Death AtNight / Signs Of Allah

Are the people of these towns, then, secure from the coming of Our punishment upon them by night while they are asleep?
10:7

إِنَّ فِى ٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ

Allah / Created Heavens And EarthAllah / Existence OfNight / Signs Of AllahAllah / Signs Of, (Ayatullah)Knowledge (‘Ilm) / Qur’an For Attainment OfSigns / Of Creation

Verily, in the alternation of night and day, and in all that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth there are Signs for a God-fearing people.
10:68

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ

Night / For RestNight / Signs Of AllahSigns / Of Creation
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
He it is Who has made for you the night dark that you may rest therein, and the day full of light. Surely, therein are Signs for a people who listen.
13:4

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًا ۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Earth (Al-Ard) / Abode OnKnowledge (‘Ilm) / Qur’an For Attainment OfMountains (Jibal) / Created For ManNatureNight / Signs Of AllahQur’an / Truth, Scientific Facts, HistoryReflect / Ponder, (Tafakkur)River / On EarthScience / EmbryologyScience / Origin, CreationSpouse (Zauj) / Created In PairsAllah / Existence OfAllah / Favours Of

And He it is Who spread out the earth and made therein mountains and rivers. And fruits of every kind He made therein in two sexes. He causes the night to cover the day. Therein, verily, are Signs for a people who reflect.
14:34

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيْنِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ

MoonNight / Signs Of AllahSun / And MoonAllah / Favours Of

And He has also subjected to you the sun and the moon, both performing their work constantly. And He has subjected to you the night as well as the day.
16:13

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ وَٱلنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَٰتٌۢ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

MoonNajm (Kaukab), StarNight / Signs Of AllahSun / And MoonAllah / Favours OfKnowledge (‘Ilm) / Qur’an For Attainment Of

And He has pressed into service for you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; and the stars too have been pressed into service by His command. Surely, in that are Signs for a people who make use of their reason.
17:13

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ءَايَتَيْنِ ۖ فَمَحَوْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَجَعَلْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلنَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةً لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَصَّلْنَٰهُ تَفْصِيلًا

Allah / Signs Of, (Ayatullah)Bounty / Seek Allah’sCalendarNight / Signs Of AllahReckoning (Hisab) / Count, AccountabilitySigns

And We have made the night and the day two Signs, and the Sign of night We have made dark, and the Sign of day We have made sightgiving, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know the computation of years and the science of reckoning. And everything We have explained with a detailed explanation.
21:34

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

Allah / Created YouMoonNahr / Day (& Night)Night / Signs Of AllahOrbitScience / Solar System, OrbitsSun / And MoonUniverse / Creation OfAllah / Favours OfSolar System

And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each gliding along in its orbit.
22:62

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ

Attributes Of Allah / As-Sami‘ (The All-Hearing)Night / Signs Of Allah

That is because Allah causes the night to enter into the day, and causes the day to enter into the night, and because Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
23:81

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخْتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

NationsNight / Signs Of Allah

And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and in His hands is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand?
24:45

يُقَلِّبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ

Lesson (‘Ibrah)Night / Signs Of AllahSpiritual Progress

Allah alternates the night and the day. Therein surely is a lesson for those who have eyes.
25:63

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا

Night / Signs Of AllahUniverse / In Service Of Man

And He it is Who has made the night and the day, each following the other, for him who desires to remember, or desires to be grateful.
