فَاِذَا بَلَغۡنَ اَجَلَہُنَّ فَاَمۡسِکُوۡہُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ اَوۡ فَارِقُوۡہُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ وَّاَشۡہِدُوۡا ذَوَیۡ عَدۡلٍ مِّنۡکُمۡ وَاَقِیۡمُوا الشَّہٰدَۃَ لِلّٰہِ ۚ ذٰلِکُمۡ یُوۡعَظُ بِہٖ مَنۡ کَانَ یُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰہِ وَالۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ ۚ وَمَنۡ یَّتَّقِ اللّٰہَ یَجۡعَل لَّہٗ مَخۡرَجًا
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Then, when they are about to reach their prescribed term, keep them with kindness, or put them away with kindness, and call to witness two just persons from among you; and bear true witness for Allah. This is by which is admonished he who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And he who fears Allah — He will make for him a way out,
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
پس جب وہ اپنی مقررہ میعاد کو پہنچ جائیں تو پھر انہیں معروف طریق پر روک لو یا انہیں معروف طریق پر جدا کردو اور اپنے میں سے دو صاحبِ انصاف (شخصوں) کو گواہ ٹھہرا لو اور اللہ کے لئے شہادت کو قائم کرو۔ یہ وہ امر ہے جس کی نصیحت کی جاتی ہے ہر اس شخص کو، جو اللہ اور یومِ آخر پر ایمان لاتا ہے۔ اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے اُس کے لئے وہ نجات کی کوئی راہ بنا دیتا ہے۔
French
Puis, lorsqu’elles atteignent le terme prescrit, gardez-les d’une manière bienveillante, ou séparez-vous d’elles d’une manière bienveillante, et appelez à témoin deux personnes justes d’entre vous ; et acquittez-vous du témoignage pour l’amour d’Allāh. Voilà ce à quoi est exhorté celui qui croit en Allāh et au Jour Dernier. Et celui qui craint Allāh – Il ménagera une issue pour lui,

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
پھر جب عورتیں عدت کی آخری حد کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں مناسب طریق پر روک لو یا انہیں مناسب طریق پر فارغ کردو۔ اور اپنے میں سے دو منصف گواہ مقرر کرو۔ اور خدا کے لئے سچی گواہی دو۔ تم میں سے جو کوئی اللہ اور یوم آخر پر ایمان لاتا ہے اس کو یہ نصیحت کی جاتی ہے اور جو شخص اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرے گا اللہ اس کے لئے کوئی نہ کوئی رستہ نکال دے گا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
Then, [a]when they are about to reach the limit of their prescribed term, retain them with kindness, or part with them in a suitable manner, and call to witness two just persons from among you; and bear true witness for Allah. Thus is admonished he who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And he who fears Allah—He will make for him a way out,[3066]
2:232.
If differences between husband and wife are due to the poverty of the husband, God will provide for him from sources he never could imagine, provided he fears Allah and makes an honest effort to tide over the difficult situation.

Commentary:
The two witnesses referred to in the verse are to be called when the wife is about to be divorced, or when and if she is taken back by her husband. See also 2:230-234. "A way out" may mean a way out of the difficult situation in which both the wife and the husband are placed by their apparently irreconcilable differences.

پھر جب وہ اپنی (عدت کی) مدت کے خاتمہ پر پہنچیں تو یا انہیں بھلے طریقے سے (اپنے نکاح میں) روک ر کھو، یا بھلے طریقے پر اُن سے جدا ہو جاؤ اور دو ایسے آدمیوں کو گواہ بنا لو جو تم میں سے صاحب عدل ہوں اور (اے گواہ بننے والو) گواہی ٹھیک ٹھیک اللہ کے لیے ادا کرو یہ باتیں ہیں جن کی تم لوگوں کو نصیحت کی جاتی ہے، ہر اُس شخص کو جو اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو جو کوئی اللہ سے ڈرتے ہوئے کام کرے گا اللہ اُس کے لیے مشکلات سے نکلنے کا کوئی راستہ پیدا کر دے گا
English - Sahih
And when they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or part with them according to acceptable terms. And bring to witness two just men from among you and establish the testimony for [the acceptance of] Allah. That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out

پس جب وہ اپنی عدت کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں دستور سے رکھ لو یا انہیں دستور سے چھوڑ دو اور دو معتبر آدمی اپنے میں سے گواہ کر لو اور الله کے لیے گواہی پوری دو یہ نصیحت کی باتیں انہیں سمجھائی جاتی ہیں جو الله اور قیامت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو الله سے ڈرتا ہے الله اس کے لیے نجات کی صورت نکال دیتا ہے
