وَاِنۡ جٰہَدَاکَ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ تُشۡرِکَ بِیۡ مَا لَیۡسَ لَکَ بِہٖ عِلۡمٌ فَلَا تُطِعۡہُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبۡہُمَا فِی الدُّنۡیَا مَعۡرُوۡفًا ۖ وَّاتَّبِعۡ سَبِیۡلَ مَنۡ اَنَابَ اِلَیَّ ۚ ثُمَّ اِلَیَّ مَرۡجِعُکُمۡ فَاُنَبِّئُکُمۡ بِمَا کُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra
‘And if they contend with thee to make thee set up equals with Me concerning which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not, but be a kind companion to them in all worldly affairs; and in spiritual matters follow the way of him who turns to Me. Then unto Me will be your return and I shall inform you of what you used to do.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور اگر وہ دونوں (بھی) تجھ سے جھگڑا کریں کہ تُو میرا شریک ٹھہرا جس کا تجھے کوئی علم نہیں تو ان دونوں کی اطاعت نہ کر۔ اور اُن دونوں کے ساتھ دنیا میں دستور کے مطابق رفاقت جاری رکھ اور اس کے رستے کی اِتّباع کر جو میری طرف جھکا۔ پھر میری طرف ہی تمہارا لوٹ کر آنا ہے پھر میں تمہیں اُس سے آگاہ کروں گا جو تم کرتے رہے ہو ۔
French
Et s’ils discutent avec toi pour te faire associer des égaux à Moi, ce dont tu n’as aucune connaissance, ne leur obéis pas. Mais sois un compagnon pour eux dans ce monde de façon convenable et suis la voie de celui qui se tourne vers Moi. Ensuite c’est auprès de Moi que sera votre retour, et Je vous informerai de ce que vous faisiez. »

Doch wenn sie mit dir eifern, damit du Mir das zur Seite setzest, wovon du keine Kenntnis hast, dann gehorche ihnen nicht. In weltlichen Dingen aber verkehre mit ihnen auf geziemende Weise. Doch folge dem Weg dessen, der sich zu Mir wendet. Dann werdet ihr zu Mir zurückkehren, und Ich werde euch verkünden, was ihr getan."

“如果他俩与你辩论, 要你把你所不知道的东西作为与我同等的崇拜对象, 那么, 你不要顺从他俩。但在世俗的事务上[1007]要善待他俩, (在精神事务上) 要追随归向我的人的道路。我是你们所有人的归宿。我将告诉你们往常所做的一切事情;”
如果人们对双亲的义务和责任看来同对安拉的职责相冲突时, 他们首先要忠于他们的创造主。但是, 不论他们双亲的任何意愿或命令同他对安拉的忠诚有冲突, 他们绝不能对双亲傲慢无礼, 而仍旧应该一如往常那样恭敬、热爱和宽待他们。

E se disputano con te per far sì che tu dichiari uguali a Me ciò di cui non hai alcuna conoscenza, non obbedire loro; sii però un gentile compagno per essi negli affari di questo mondo e in questioni spirituali segui la via di colui che si volge a Me. Infatti, a Me dovrete tornare ed Io vi informerò su tutto quello che eravate soliti fare.»

“Mas si disputan contigo para que Me asocies lo que desconoces, no les obedezcas; muéstrate amable con ellos en todos los asuntos mundanos, pero en los espirituales sigue el camino de quien vuelve a Mí. Más tarde todos volveréis a Mí y os informaré de lo que solíais hacer”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور اگر وہ دونوں تجھ سے بحث کریں کہ تو کسی کو میرا شریک مقرر کر جس کا تجھے کوئی علم نہیں تو ان دونوں کی بات مت مانیو۔ ہاں دنیوی معاملات میں ان کے ساتھ نیک تعلقات قائم رکھیؤ اور اس شخص کے پیچھے چلیو جو میری طرف جھکتا ہے اور تم سب کا لوٹنا میری طرف ہی ہوگا۔ اس وقت میں تم کو تمہارے عمل سے خبردار کروں گا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
And if they contend with thee to make thee set up equals with Me concerning which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not, but be a kind companion to them in worldly affairs,[2307] and in spiritual matters follow the way of him who turns to Me. Then unto Me will be your return and I shall inform you of what you used to do;
If man’s duty to parents appears to clash and conflict with his duty to God, his first loyalty is to his Creator. But in disregarding any of the wishes or commands of his parents which clash with his loyalty to God he must not be arrogant or insolent to them; but should continue to show uniform courtesy, love and kindness to them.

And if they contend with thee to make thee set up equals with Me concerning which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not, but be a kind companion to them in all worldly affairs; and in spiritual matters follow the way of him who turns to Me. Commentary:
After being reminded of his duty to his parents, man is warned in the present verse not to forget that his first and foremost duty is to God, and that all other duties and loyalties are subordinate to, and proceed from it. He is told that if his duty to parents appears to clash and conflict with his duty to God, his first loyalty is to his Creator. But in disregarding any of the wishes or commands of his parents which clash with his loyalty to God, he must not be arrogant or insolent to them, but should continue to show uniform courtesy, love and kindness to them.

لیکن اگر وہ تجھ پر دباؤ ڈالیں کہ میرے ساتھ تو کسی ایسے کو شریک کرے جسے تو نہیں جانتا تو ان کی بات ہرگز نہ مان دُنیا میں ان کے ساتھ نیک برتاؤ کرتا رہ مگر پیروی اُس شخص کے راستے کی کر جس نے میری طرف رجوع کیا ہے پھر تم سب کو پلٹنا میری ہی طرف ہے، اُس وقت میں تمہیں بتا دوں گا کہ تم کیسے عمل کرتے رہے ہو
English - Sahih
But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.

اور اگر تجھ پر اس بات کا زور ڈالیں تو میرے ساتھ اس کو شریک بنائے جس کو تو جانتا بھی نہ ہو تو ان کا کہنا نہ مان اور دنیا میں ان کے ساتھ نیکی سے پیش آ اور ان لوگوں کی راہ پر چل جو میری طرف رجوع ہوگئے پھر تمہیں لوٹ کر میرے ہی پاس آنا ہے پھر میں تمہیں بتاؤں گا کہ تم کیا کیا کرتے تھے

But if they strive against you on that you associate partners with Me what not you have of it any knowledge, then (do) not obey both of them. But accompany them in the world (with) kindness, and follow (the) path (of him) who turns to Me. Then towards Me (is) your return, then I will inform you of what you used (to) do."

But if they strive with thee to make thee associate with Me that whereof thou hast no knowledge, then do not obey them. Keep them company honourable in this world; but follow the way of him who turns to Me. Then unto Me you shall return, and I shall tell you what you were doing.')

But if they press you to associate others with Me in My Divinity, (to associate) those regarding whom you have no knowledge (that they are My associates), do not obey them. And yet treat them well in this world, and follow the way of him who turns to Me in devotion. Eventually it is to Me that all of you shall return, and I shall then tell you all that you did.”
