مَثَلُ مَا يُنفِقُونَ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْمٍ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

The likeness of what they spend for the present life is as the likeness of a wind wherein there is intense cold which smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves, and destroys it. And Allah has not wronged them, but they wrong themselves.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اس دنیا کی زندگی میں وہ جو بھی خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کی مثال ایسی ہوا کی طرح ہے جس میں شدید سردی ہو، وہ ایسے لوگوں کی کھیتی پر (مصیبت بن کر) وارد ہو جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کیا ہو اور وہ اُسے برباد کر دے۔ اور اللہ نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا لیکن وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پرظلم کرتے ہیں۔

French

La similitude de ce qu’ils dépensent pour la vie d’ici-bas est comme celle d’un vent chargé d’un froid intense qui s’abat sur la moisson d’un peuple qui s’est fait du tort à lui-même et la détruit. Ce n’est pas Allāh Qui leur a fait du tort, mais ils se font tort à eux-mêmes.

Das, was sie für dieses Erdenleben hingeben, ist wie ein Wind, in dem eisige Kälte ist: er trifft die Ackerfrucht eines Volkes, das gegen sich selbst gefrevelt, und vernichtet sie. Und nicht Allah war gegen sie ungerecht, sie selbst sind ungerecht gegen sich.

[f]凡是他们为了目前生活而消费的, 其情状犹如一阵寒风, 吹在一个冤枉自己的民族的田园上而把它毁灭了。安拉没冤屈他们, 而他们自己却冤屈自己。

Quel che essi spendono per la vita presente è simile ad un vento gelido, che investe il raccolto di gente che ha fatto torto a sé stessa, e lo distrugge. Non è stato Allah a far loro torto, ma essi si sono fatti torto da sé.

Lo que gastan en la presente vida es parecido a un viento con frío glacial, que azota los cultivos de un pueblo que se ha perjudicado a sí mismo, y los destruye. Y no es Al-lah quien les hace daño, sino ellos mismos quienes se lo hacen.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جو کچھ یہ (لوگ) اس قریب کی زندگی کے متعلق خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کی حالت اس ہوا کی حالت[1] کی طرح ہے جس میں سخت سردی ہو (اور) وہ ایسی قوم کی کھیتی پر چلے جس نے اپنے آپ پر ظلم کیا ہو پھر وہ اسے تباہ کر دے اور اللہ نے ان (لوگوں) پر ظلم نہیں کیا۔ ہاں! یہ اپنی جانوں پر آپ ہی ظلم کر رہے ہیں۔

مطلب یہ ہے کہ خرچ تو انسان اس لئے کرتا ہے کہ اسے ترقی حاصل ہو مگر چونکہ یہ لوگ منافقت سے خرچ کرتے ہیں ان کا خرچ ویسا ہی نتیجہ پیدا کرتا ہے‘ جیسا کہ شمالی بادِ تُند جو سخت ٹھنڈی ہوتی ہے اور کھیتیوں کو تباہ کردیتی ہے۔ اسی طرح وہ خرچ بھی ان کے اعمال کے نتائج کو تباہ کر دے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]The likeness of what they spend for the present life is as the likeness of a wind wherein there is intense cold. It smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it.[461] And Allah wronged them not but they wronged themselves.

10:25; 68:18-21.

The idea underlying this verse is that the efforts of the disbelievers against Islam will recoil on themselves. Whatever they do or spend with a view to injuring the cause of Islam will only injure themselves.

[b]The likeness of what they spend for the present life is as the likeness of a wind wherein there is intense cold which smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves, and destroys it. And Allah has not wronged them, but they wrong themselves.[402]

Important Words:

صر (intense cold). They say صر الباب i.e. the door made a sound or a creaking sound. صر الطائر means, the bird (hawk or falcon) uttered its cry. صر means, it (plant) became smitten with intense cold; or he (a person) had an iron collar put round his neck. So صر means: (1) intense cold; (2) cold that smites the herbage and destroys it; (3) sound or noise; (4) a wind with an excessively loud sound; (5) fire (Lane & Lisan).

Commentary:

The idea underlying this verse is that the efforts of the disbelievers against Islam will react only against themselves. Whatever they do and whatever they spend with a view to injuring or destroying Islam will only injure the disbelievers themselves. God sent Islam for the good of the people, but by rejecting it they are bringing about their own ruin.

جو کچھ وہ اپنی اس دنیا کی زندگی میں خرچ کر رہے ہیں اُس کی مثال اُس ہوا کی سی ہے جس میں پالا ہو اور وہ اُن لوگوں کی کھیتی پر چلے جنہوں نے اپنے اوپر ظلم کیا ہے اور اسے برباد کر کے رکھ دے اللہ نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا در حقیقت یہ خود اپنے اوپر ظلم کر رہے ہیں

English - Sahih

The example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind containing frost which strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. And Allah has not wronged them, but they wrong themselves.

اس دنیا کی زندگی میں جو کچھ خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جس طرح ایک ہوا ہو جس میں تیز سردی ہو وہ ایسے لوگو ں کی کھیتی کو لگ جائے جنہوں نے اپنے نفسوں پر ظلم کیا تھا پھر ا سکو برباد کر گئی اور الله نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا لیکن وہ اپنے او پر ظلم کرتے ہیں
