28:39

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرِى فَأَوْقِدْ لِى يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ عَلَى ٱلطِّينِ فَٱجْعَل لِّى صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

And Pharaoh said, ‘O chiefs, I know of no God for you other than myself; so burn me bricks of clay, O Haman, and build me a tower, that I may have a look at the God of Moses, though I believe him to be one of the liars.’
28:40

وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ

And he and his hosts behaved arrogantly in the land without any justification. And they thought that they would never be brought back to Us.
40:27

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِىٓ أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُۥٓ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْفَسَادَ

Disorder (Fitnah, Fasad)Pharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

And Pharaoh said: ‘Leave me alone that I may kill Moses; and let him call on his Lord. I fear lest he should change your religion or cause disorder to show itself in the land.’
40:37

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ ٱبْنِ لِى صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَبْلُغُ ٱلْأَسْبَٰبَ

HamanPharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

And Pharaoh said: ‘O Haman, build thou for me a lofty building that I may attain to the means of approach,
40:38

أَسْبَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ كَٰذِبًا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَصُدَّ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۚ وَمَا كَيْدُ فِرْعَوْنَ إِلَّا فِى تَبَابٍ

‘The means of approach to the heavens, so that I may have a look at the God of Moses, and I surely think him to be a liar.’ And thus the evil of his doing was made to look fair in the eyes of Pharaoh, and he was turned away from the right path; and the design of Pharaoh ended in nothing but ruin.
43:52

وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى قَوْمِهِۦ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِىٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Egypt (Misr)Pharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying, ‘O my people! does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me and these streams flowing under me? Do you not then see?
43:53

أَمْ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ

Pharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

‘Nay, I am better than this fellow who is despicable and can scarcely express himself clearly.
44:32

مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

Moral Traits / ExtravagancePharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

Inflicted by Pharaoh; he was surely haughty even among the extravagant.
51:40

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ

MagiciansMessengers (Rusul) / Are Mocked, Opposed, Called Liars, Madmen, SorcerersPharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

But he turned away from Moses in his pride of power, and said, ‘A sorcerer, or a madman.’
51:41

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ

Pharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Drowning OfSea / Body Of Water, (Bahr) / Parted For MosesPharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

So We seized him and his hosts and threw them into the sea; and he himself was to blame.
79:21

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

So he showed him the great Sign,
79:22

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ

But he rejected him and disobeyed.
79:23

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ

Then he turned away from Moses, striving against him.
79:24

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

And he gathered his people and proclaimed,
79:25

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

Pharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Punishment OfMoses / Musa(as) / Story OfPharaoh (Fir‘aun) / Arrogance Of

Saying, ‘I am your Lord, the most high.’
