7:74

وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًا ۗ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ ءَايَةً ۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِىٓ أَرْضِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Allah / None To Be Worshipped ExceptCustoms Of / ArabsEvidence / Clear From GodSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)SyriaThamud / Sign Of She-Camel
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And to Thamud We sent their brother Salih. He said, ‘O my people, worship Allah; you have no other deity but Him. Verily there has come to you a clear evidence from your Lord — this she-camel of Allah, a Sign for you. So leave her that she may feed in Allah’s earth, and do her no harm, lest a painful punishment seize you.
7:75

وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَبَوَّأَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورًا وَتَنْحِتُونَ ٱلْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا ۖ فَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟ ءَالَآءَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

Allah / Does Not Love Mischief-MongersDisorder (Fitnah, Fasad)Mountains (Jibal) / Dwellings In TheRemember / AllahThamud / Built Stone PalacesSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And remember the time when He made you inheritors of His favours after ‘Ad, and assigned you an abode in the land; you build palaces in its plains, and you hew the mountains into houses. Remember, therefore, the favours of Allah and commit not iniquity in the earth, causing disorder.’
7:76

قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ لِمَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُمْ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ صَٰلِحًا مُّرْسَلٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلَ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ

Moral Traits / Arrogance, ConceitOppressed / Weak, (Da‘if)Salih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

The chief men of his people who were arrogant said to those who were reckoned weak — those among them who believed — ‘Do you know for certain that Salih is one sent by his Lord?’ They answered, ‘Surely, we believe in that with which he has been sent.’
7:77

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ

Thamud / Rejected Allah, MessengersMoral Traits / Arrogance, ConceitSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

Those who were arrogant said, ‘Verily, we do disbelieve in that in which you believe.’
7:78

فَعَقَرُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Camel (Ibil) / Salih’s(as)Thamud / Sign Of She-CamelSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

Then they hamstrung the shecamel and rebelled against the command of their Lord, and said, ‘O Salih, bring us that which thou threatenest us with, if thou art indeed one of the Messengers.’
7:79

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دَارِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ

Calamities (‘Adhab) / EarthquakesEarthquake (Rajfah, Zalzalah)Thamud / PunishedSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

So the earthquake seized them and in their homes they lay prostrate upon the ground.
7:80

فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّى وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُحِبُّونَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ

Convey MessageMoral Traits / SinceritySalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

Then Salih turned away from them and said, ‘O my people, I did deliver the message of my Lord unto you and offered you sincere counsel, but you love not sincere counsellors.’
11:62

۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًا ۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ

Allah / Answering Of Prayer ByAllah / Closer Than Ones Jugular Vein, Is NearAttributes Of Allah / Al-Mujib (Answerer Of Prayers)Attributes Of Allah / Al-Qarib (Nearest One)Earth (Al-Ard) / Abode OnSalah / Allah Listens ToSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And to the tribe of Thamud We send their brother Salih. He said, ‘O my people worship Allah; you have no God but Him. He raised you up from the earth, and settled you therein. So ask forgiveness of Him, then turn to Him whole-heartedly. Verily, my Lord is nigh, and answers prayers.’
11:63

قَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَٰذَآ ۖ أَتَنْهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ

Rija’ / Hopes To Meet AllahSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

They said, ‘O Salih, thou wast among us one in whom we placed our hopes. Dost thou forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And we are surely in disquieting doubt concerning that to which thou callest us.’
11:64

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً فَمَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُۥ ۖ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِى غَيْرَ تَخْسِيرٍ

Salih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
He said, ‘O my people, tell me: if I stand on a clear proof from my Lord, and He has granted me mercy from Himself, who then will help me against Allah, if I disobey Him? So you will not but add to my destruction.
11:65

وَيَٰقَوْمِ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ ءَايَةً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِىٓ أَرْضِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ قَرِيبٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘And O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah as a Sign for you, so let her alone that she may feed in Allah’s earth, and touch her not with harm lest a near punishment seize you.’
11:66

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِى دَارِكُمْ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ

Promise / To Disbelievers, To HypocritesThamud / PunishedSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)Thamud / Sign Of She-Camel

But they hamstrung her; then he said, ‘Enjoy yourselves in your houses for three days. This is a promise which is not a lie.’
11:67

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَٰلِحًا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْىِ يَوْمِئِذٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلْقَوِىُّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ

Calamities (‘Adhab) / Saved Believers FromMercy / On Prophets(as)Power / Allah Has TheSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

So when Our command came, we saved Salih and those who believed with him by Our special mercy, and We saved them from the ignominy of that day. Surely, thy Lord is Powerful, Mighty.
11:68

وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دِيَٰرِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ

Calamities (‘Adhab) / EarthquakesCalamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Discrepancy / No In The Holy Qur’anEarthquake (Rajfah, Zalzalah)Thamud / PunishedSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And punishment overtook those who had done wrong, and they lay prostrate in their houses,
11:69

كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَآ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا۟ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّثَمُودَ

Thamud / Rejected Allah, MessengersSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

As though they had never dwelt therein. Behold! Thamud behaved ungratefully to their Lord; Behold! cursed are the tribe of Thamud.
15:81

وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْحِجْرِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Messengers (Rusul) / Are Mocked, Opposed, Called Liars, Madmen, SorcerersPeople Of Al-Hijr (Ashabul-Hijr)Salih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And the People of the Hijr also did treat the Messengers as liars.
15:82

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

Salih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And We gave them Our Signs, but they turned away from them.
15:83

وَكَانُوا۟ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ

Mountains (Jibal) / Dwellings In TheSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And they used to hew out houses in the mountains, in security.
