وَمَا وَجَدۡنَا لِاَکۡثَرِہِمۡ مِّنۡ عَہۡدٍ ۖ وَّاِنۡ وَّجَدۡنَاۤ اَکۡثَرَہُمۡ لَفٰسِقِیۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And We found not in most of them any observance of covenant and surely We found most of them to be evil-doers.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور ہم نے ان میں سے اکثر کو کسی عہد کا پاس کرتے نہیں دیکھا اور یقیناً ہم نے ان میں سے اکثر کو بدکردار پایا۔

Et Nous n’avons trouvé chez la plupart d’entre eux aucune considération pour le respect d’aucun contrat, et assurément Nous avons trouvé la plupart d’entre eux comme étant des personnes malfaisantes.

اور ہم نے ان میں سے اکثر کو (اپنے) عہد کا پابند نہیں پایا‘ بلکہ[1] ہم نے یقیناً ان میں سے اکثر کو عہد توڑنے والا ہی پایا ہے۔
’’بلکہ‘‘ واؤ کا ترجمہ ہے جو عربی زبان کے لحاظ سے درست ہے (مغنی)
