قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
They said, ‘O Moses, either do thou throw first, or we shall be the first to throw.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
انہوں نے کہا اے موسیٰ! کیا توُ ڈالے گا یا پھر ہم پہلے ہوں جو (اپنا جادو) ڈالیں۔
French
Ils dirent : « Ô Moïse, ou bien tu jettes le premier, ou bien nous serons les premiers à jeter. »
German
Sie sprachen: "O Mose, entweder wirf du (zuerst), oder wir werden die ersten sein zum Werfen."
Chinese
(法老所集合对抗穆撒的[b]那些人) 说: “穆撒啊! 不是你抛掷, 就是我们先抛掷。”

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
(اس پر ان لوگوں نے جن کو موسیٰ کے مقابلہ کے لئے فرعون نے جمع کیا تھا) کہا کہ اے موسیٰ! یا تو (اپنی تدبیر) پھینک (یعنی ظاہر کر) یا ہم تجھ سے پہلے پھینکیں۔

7:116.
Commentary:
The words of the verse show that the magicians had behaved respectfully towards Moses and it is this respectful attitude of theirs which, perhaps, was mainly instrumental in enabling them to see the truth and accept it.

جادوگر بولے "موسیٰؑ، تم پھینکتے ہو یا پہلے ہم پھینکیں؟"
