۞ قُلۡ اِنِّیۡ نُہِیۡتُ اَنۡ اَعۡبُدَ الَّذِیۡنَ تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ لَمَّا جَآءَنِیَ الۡبَیِّنٰتُ مِنۡ رَّبِّیۡ وَاُمِرۡتُ اَنۡ اُسۡلِمَ لِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Say, ‘I have been forbidden to worship those whom you call upon beside Allah since there have come unto me clear proofs from my Lord; and I have been commanded to submit myself to the Lord of the worlds.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
تُو کہہ دے کہ یقیناً مجھے منع کیا گیا ہے کہ میں ان کی عبادت کروں جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو جبکہ میرے پاس میرے ربّ کی طرف سے کھلے کھلے نشانات آ چکے ہیں۔ اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں تمام جہانوں کے ربّ کا کامل فرمانبردار ہو جاؤں۔
French
Dis : « Il m’a été interdit d’adorer ceux que vous invoquez en dehors d’Allāh, alors que des preuves manifestes me sont venues de la part de mon Seigneur ; et il m’a été commandé de me soumettre au Seigneur des mondes. »

Sprich: "Mir ward verboten, denen zu dienen, die ihr anruft statt Allah, nachdem mir deutliche Beweise von meinem Herrn gekommen sind; und mir ward geboten, mich zu ergeben dem Herrn der Welten."

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تو کہہ دے کہ مجھے اس سے روکا گیا ہے کہ میں ان کی عبادت کروں جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو۔ خصوصاً جبکہ میرے پاس میرے رب کی طرف سے کھلی نشانیاں بھی آچکی ہیں اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں صرف سب جہانوں کے رب کی اطاعت کروں۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
[c]Say, ‘I have been forbidden to worship those whom you call upon beside Allah since there have come clear proofs unto me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to submit myself solely to the Lord of the worlds.’

Commentary:
The verse means to say that when God is the sole Creator of heavens and earth and it is He Who has created man and has made full provision for all his physical and spiritual needs, it is inconsistent with reason and highly presumptuous on the part of man to worship any being or thing in preference to Him, "the Lord of all the worlds."
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اے نبیؐ، اِن لوگوں سے کہہ دو کہ مجھے تو اُن ہستیوں کی عبادت سے منع کر دیا گیا ہے جنہیں تم اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہو (میں یہ کام کیسے کر سکتا ہوں) جبکہ میرے پاس میرے رب کی طرف سے بینات آ چکی ہیں مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں رب العالمین کے آگے سرِ تسلیم خم کر دوں
English - Sahih
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allah once the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds."
