فَاَہۡلَکۡنَاۤ اَشَدَّ مِنۡہُمۡ بَطۡشًا وَّمَضٰی مَثَلُ الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ
وَکَمۡ اَہۡلَکۡنَا قَبۡلَہُمۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡنٍ ہُمۡ اَشَدُّ مِنۡہُمۡ بَطۡشًا فَنَقَّبُوۡا فِی الۡبِلٰدِ ہَلۡ مِنۡ مَّحِیۡصٍ
یعنی ملک میں ایسے سامان پیدا کرنے شروع کیے کہ وہ اس عذاب سے بچ جائیں لیکن خدائی سزا سے بچنے کے لئے انسانی تدبیریں کہاں کام دے سکتی ہیں۔
