[1] وَفَى بِالعَهْدِ and بِالوَعْدِ [He fulfilled, performed, kept, or was faithful to, the compact, or covenant, and the promise]: act. part. n. وَفِىٌّ; pl. أَوْفِيَآءُ. (Msb.) ― 2-b2- وَفَآءٌ signifies The being faithful to an engagement, or promise: see 1, last sentence, in art. رعى. ― 2-b3- وَفَاهُ He paid it: see an ex. (فِى ثَوْبَىْ أَبِى أَنْ أَفِيَهُ) voce ثَوْبٌ.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تاکہ وہ اُن کو اُن کے اُجور (اُن کی توفیق کے مطابق) بھرپور دے بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ انہیں اپنے فضل سے بڑھائے۔ یقیناً وہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بہت قدر دان ہے۔

کیونکہ اس کا نتیجہ یہ ہوگا کہ اللہ ان کو ان کے اعمال کے پورے پورے اجر دے گا اور ان کو (ان کے اعمال کے اجر کے علاوہ) اپنے فضل سے اور بھی زیادہ دے گا (جس کی وجہ سے ان کی حالت اس دنیا سے ہزاروں گنے بہتر ہوگی) اس لئے کہ وہ (خدا) بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بہت قدر کرنے والا ہے۔

Important Words:

شکور (Most Appreciating) is derived from شکر (shukr) which is noun inf. and means thankfulness. شکر is of three kinds: (1) with the heart or mind; (2) with the tongue, and (3) with the limbs. Man’s love for God and his humility towards Him and his acknowledgment of Divine favours and eulogising and praising God for having bestowed them upon him and his making use of those favours in a manner liked by God, constitutes شکر(thankfulness) on the part of man. شکر (thankfulness) on the part of God consists in forgiving a person or commending him or regarding him with satisfaction, goodwill or favour and hence recompensing or rewarding him (Lane). See also 14:8.

(اس تجارت میں انہوں نے اپنا سب کچھ اِس لیے کھپایا ہے) تاکہ اللہ اُن کے اجر پورے کے پورے اُن کو دے اور مزید اپنے فضل سے ان کو عطا فرمائے بے شک اللہ بخشنے والا اور قدردان ہے

that He may pay them in full their wages and enrich them of His bounty; surely He is All-forgiving, All-thankful.
