قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
They said, ‘Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves; and if Thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us, we shall surely be of the lost.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اُن دونوں نے کہا کہ اے ہمارے ربّ! ہم نے اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کیا اور اگر تو نے ہمیں معاف نہ کیا اور ہم پر رحم نہ کیا تو یقیناً ہم گھاٹا کھانے والوں میں سے ہوجائیں گے۔

Ils dirent : « Notre Seigneur, Nous avons agi injustement envers nous-mêmes ; et si Tu ne nous pardonnes pas, et si Tu ne nous fais pas miséricorde, nous serons assurément du nombre des perdants. »

ان دونوں نے کہا‘ اے ہمارے رب! ہم نے اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کیا اور اگر تو ہم کو نہ بخشے گا اور ہم پر رحم نہ کرے گا تو ہم نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو جائیں گے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
They said, [b]‘Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves[960] and if Thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us, we shall surely be of the losers.’

Adam soon realized his error and hastened to turn to God in repentance. In fact, Adam’s error lay in taking this man-devil for a well-wisher, although God had warned him against having anything to do with him.

دونوں بول اٹھے، "اے رب، ہم نے اپنے اوپر ستم کیا، اب اگر تو نے ہم سے در گزر نہ فرمایا اور رحم نہ کیا تو یقیناً ہم تباہ ہو جائیں گے"
