پس تو میرے اور ان کے درمیان ایک قطعی[1] فیصلہ کر۔ اور مجھے اور میرے ساتھی مومنوں کو (دشمن کے) شر سے بچا لے۔
یہاں اِفْتَحْ کا لفظ ہے جس کے معنے ’’فیصلہ کر‘‘ کے ہیں۔ لیکن چونکہ اس کا مفعول فَتْحًا آیا ہے ہم نے ’’قطعی فیصلہ کر‘‘ کے الفاظ سے ترجمہ کیا ہے۔

Important Words:
فافتح (so judge) is imperative verb from فتح. They say فتح الباب i.e. he opened the door. فتح الحاکم بین الناس means, the judge decided the dispute between the people. فتح اللّٰه علی نبیه means, God helped His Prophet and made him victorious (Aqrab). See also 8:20.
Commentary:
The last and most effective weapon in the armoury of the Prophets of God is prayer, and Noah prayed to God in the full agony of his heart.

اب میرے اور ان کے درمیان دو ٹوک فیصلہ کر دے اور مجھے اور جو مومن میرے ساتھ ہیں ان کو نجات دے"

یہاں اِفْتَحْ کا لفظ ہے جس کے معنے ’’فیصلہ کر‘‘ کے ہیں۔ لیکن چونکہ اس کا مفعول فَتْحًا آیا ہے ہم نے ’’قطعی فیصلہ کر‘‘ کے الفاظ سے ترجمہ کیا ہے۔

اوراللہ نے اُن لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان لائے فرعون کی بیوی کی مثال دی ہے۔ جب اس نے کہا اے میرے ربّ! میرے لئے اپنے حضور جنت میں ایک گھر بنادے اور مجھے فرعون سے اور اس کے عمل سے بچالے اور مجھے ان ظالم لوگوں سے نجات بخش۔

God has struck a similitude for the believers -- the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, 'My Lord, build for me a house in Paradise, in Thy presence, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and do Thou deliver me from the people of the evildoers.'
