اور یہ (کہہ دے) کہ نماز قائم کرو اور اس کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو اور وہی ہے جس کی طرف تم اکٹھے کئے جاؤ گے۔

Et nous avons reçu ce commandement : « Observez la prière et craignez-Le, » c’est vers Lui que vous serez rassemblés.

اور یہ (بھی ہدایت دی گئی ہے) کہ نمازوں کو باشرائط ادا کرو اور اس (خدا) کو اپنی ڈھال بناؤ۔ اور وہی ہے جس کی طرف تم اکٹھے کرکے لے جائے جاؤ گے۔

So you all turn to Him, in repentance, and seek His protection and observe Prayer,[2285] and be not of those who associate partners with Allah—
Mere belief in the Almightiness and Oneness of God, though it forms the basic principle of true religion, is not enough. A true religion must possess certain ordinances and commandments. Of these the top priority goes to Prayer.

Commentary:
The verse means to say that mere belief in the Almightiness and Oneness of God, though it forms the basic principle of true religion, is not enough. A true religion has certain ordinances and commandments also. Of these commandments the top priority goes to Prayer, which must be duly observed. A true religion also teaches that fear lest one should incur the displeasure of God, must govern all our actions.

(قائم ہو جاؤ اِس بات پر) اللہ کی طرف رجوع کرتے ہوئے، اور ڈرو اُس سے، اور نماز قائم کرو، اور نہ ہو جاؤ اُن مشرکین میں سے
