English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Surely, Allah holds the heavens and the earth lest they deviate from their places. And if they did deviate, none can hold them after Him. Verily, He is Forbearing, Most Forgiving.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً اللہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو روکے ہوئے ہے کہ وہ ٹل سکیں۔ اور اگر وہ دونوں (ایک دفعہ) ٹل گئے تو اس کے بعد کوئی نہیں جو انہیں پھر تھام سکے۔ یقیناً وہ بہت بردبار (اور) بہت بخشنے والا ہے۔

French

Assurément, Allāh retient les cieux et la terre, pour qu’ils ne dévient pas de leur position. Et s’ils devaient dévier, nul ne pourrait les retenir après Lui. En vérité, Il est Indulgent, Très-Pardonnant.

Allah allein hält die Himmel und die Erde, dass sie nicht wanken. Und wankten sie wirklich, so gäbe es keinen, der sie halten könnte nach Ihm. Fürwahr, Er ist langmütig, allverzeihend.

Per certo, Allah tiene saldi i cieli e la terra, perché non cambino posizione. E se si spostassero, nessuno potrebbe tenerli saldi dopo di Lui. In verità, Egli è Indulgente, Colui che sommamente perdona.

En verdad, Al‑lah sostiene los cielos y la tierra para que no se desvíen de sus lugares. Y si se desviaran, nadie podría sostenerlos aparte de Él. En verdad, Él es Remisorio, Sumo Indulgente.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اللہ ہی نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اس بات سے روک رکھا ہے کہ وہ اپنی جگہ سے ٹل جائیں اور اگر وہ ٹل جائیں تو اس کے بعد کوئی ان کو (تباہ ہونے سے) روک نہیں سکے گا یقیناً وہ بڑی سمجھ بوجھ والا (اور) بہت معاف کرنے والا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]Surely, Allah holds the heavens and the earth lest they deviate from their positions. And if they did deviate, none can hold them back but He.[2423] Verily, He is Forbearing, Most Forgiving.

English - Five Volume Translation

[b]Surely, Allah holds the heavens and the earth lest they deviate from their positions. And if they did deviate, none can hold them after Him. Verily, He is Forbearing, Most Forgiving.[3208]

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ ہی ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کو ٹل جانے سے روکے ہوئے ہے، اور اگر وہ ٹل جائیں تو اللہ کے بعد کوئی دوسرا انہیں تھامنے والا نہیں ہے بے شک اللہ بڑا حلیم اور درگزر فرمانے والا ہے

Commentary:

The present verse continues the argument in repudiation of idolatry. It purports to say that both the celestial and terrestrial systems continue to work in perfect harmony with and subject to divine laws. The fact that there exists complete harmony and order among different parts of the universe, reveals the existence of an Intelligent and All-Powerful Being behind it. That Supreme and Intelligent Being is God Who deserves and demands our worship and adoration.

Both the celestial and terrestrial systems continue to work in perfect harmony without deviating the least from their set courses. This harmony reveals the existence of an Intelligent and All-Powerful Being behind it. That Supreme and Intelligent Being is God Who deserves and demands our worship and adoration.
