وَجَآءَتۡ سَیَّارَۃٌ فَاَرۡسَلُوۡا وَارِدَہُمۡ فَاَدۡلٰی دَلۡوَہٗ ۖ قَالَ یٰبُشۡرٰی ہٰذَا غُلٰمٌ ۚ وَاَسَرُّوۡہُ بِضٰعَۃً ۚ وَاللّٰہُ عَلِیۡمٌۢ بِمَا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And there came a caravan of travellers and they sent their waterdrawer. And he let down his bucket into the well. ‘Oh, good news!’ said he, ‘Here is a youth!’ And they concealed him as a piece of merchandise, and Allah knew full well what they did.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور ایک قافلہ آیا اور انہوں نے اپنا پانی نکالنے والا بھیجا تو اس نے اپنا ڈول ڈال دیا۔ اس نے کہا اے (قافلہ والو) خوشخبری! یہ تو ایک لڑکا ہے۔ اور انہوں نے اسے ایک پونجی کے طور پر چھپا لیا اور اللہ اسے خوب جانتا تھا جو وہ کرتے تھے۔
French
Et s’amena une caravane de voyageurs et ils envoyèrent leur ‘tireur’ d’eau. Et il fit descendre son seau dans le puits. « Ô bonne nouvelle ! » dit-il, « Voici un garçon ! » Et ils le cachèrent comme une pièce de marchandise, et Allāh savait très bien ce qu’ils faisaient.
German
Es kam eine Karawane von Reisenden, und sie schickten ihren Wasserschöpfer aus. Er ließ seinen Eimer hinab. "O Glücksbotschaft!", sagte er. "Hier ist ein Jüngling!" Und sie verbargen ihn wie einen Ballen Ware, und Allah wusste wohl, was sie taten.

(就在那个时刻,那里)来了一个旅行队, 他们派出打水的人, 那人把桶放入井里去。(当他看见井里有一个男孩子,) 他 (对伙伴们) 说: “听一个好消息吧! 这是一个少年。”他们 (旅行队) 把他当作一个商品收藏起来了。安拉全知他们所做的。

E passò una carovana di viaggiatori, e mandarono uno ad attingere acqua. Egli calò il suo secchio nel pozzo. «Oh, quale buona novella!» esclamò. «Qui c'è un ragazzo.» E lo nascosero come merce, e Allah ben sapeva quello che facevano.

Y ocurrió que llegó una caravana de viajeros y enviaron a su aguador. Él echó su cubo al pozo. “¡Albricias!” exclamó, “¡aquí hay un joven!”. Y lo ocultaron como mercancía. Aunque Al-lah sabía perfectamente lo que hicieron.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور (اتنے میں) ایک قافلہ آیا اور انہوں نے اپنے پانی لانے والے (آدمی) کو بھیجا۔ اور اس نے (اس باؤلی پر جاکر) اپنا ڈول ڈالا (اور جب اسے باؤلی میں ایک لڑکا نظر آیا) تو اس نے (قافلہ والوں سے) کہا‘ اے (قافلہ والو! لو) خوشخبری (سنو! اور دیکھو مجھے) یہ ایک لڑکا (ملا) ہے اور انہوں نے (یعنی قافلہ والوں نے) اسے ایک تجارتی مال سمجھتے ہوئے چھپا لیا اور جو کچھ وہ کرتے تھے اسے اللہ خوب جانتا تھا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
And there came a caravan of travellers and they sent their water-drawer. And he let down his bucket into the well. ‘Oh, good news!’ said he, ‘Here is a youth!’ And they hid him as a piece of merchandise,[1368] and Allah well knew what they did.
The members of the caravan looked upon Joseph as a precious asset.

And there came a caravan of travellers and they sent their water-drawer. And he let down his bucket into the well. ‘Oh, good news!’ said he, ‘Here is a youth!’ And they concealed him as a piece of merchandise, and Allah well knew what they did.[1523]
Commentary:
It is noteworthy how God takes care of His faithful servants. Joseph’s brothers cast him into a deep well in the wilderness but God so arranged that immediately afterwards a caravan arrived there. A man sent to fetch water from a well happened to go to the very well into which Joseph had been cast and this led to his being taken out alive.
The words, And they concealed him as a piece of merchandise, show that the members of the caravan looked upon Joseph as treasure and saw in him a youth of promise.

ادھر ایک قافلہ آیا اور اُس نے اپنے سقے کو پانی لانے کے لیے بھیجا سقے نے جو کنویں میں ڈول ڈالا تو (یوسفؑ کو دیکھ کر) پکار اٹھا "مبارک ہو، یہاں تو ایک لڑکا ہے" ان لوگوں نے اس کو مال تجارت سمجھ کر چھپا لیا، حالانکہ جو کچھ وہ کر رہے تھے خدا اس سے باخبر تھا
English - Sahih
And there came a company of travelers; then they sent their water drawer, and he let down his bucket. He said, "Good news! Here is a boy." And they concealed him, [taking him] as merchandise; and Allah was knowing of what they did.

اور ایک قافلہ آیا پھر انہوں نے اپنا پانی بھرنے والا بھیجا اس نے اپنا ڈول لٹکایا کہا کیا خوشی کی بات ہے یہ ایک لڑکا ہے اور اسے تجارت کا مال سمجھ کر چھپا لیا اور الله خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ کر رہے تھے

Then came travellers, and they sent one of them, a water-drawer, who let down his bucket. 'Good news!' he said. 'Here is a young man.' So they hid him as merchandise; but God knew what they were doing.

And a caravan came, and they sent their water drawer to draw water. As he let down his bucket in the well he (observed Joseph) and cried out: "This is good news. There is a boy." They concealed him, considering him as part of their merchandise, while Allah was well aware of what they did.

Commentary:
