يَٰصَىٰحِبَىِ ٱلسِّجْنِ ءَأَرْبَابٌ مُّتَفَرِّقُونَ خَيْرٌ أَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ

‘O my two companions of the prison, are diverse lords better or Allah, the One, the Most Supreme?

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اے قید خانہ کے دونوں ساتھیو! کیا کئی مختلف ربّ بہتر ہیں یا ایک صاحبِ جبروت اللہ ؟

Ô mes deux compagnons de prison, plusieurs seigneurs en désaccord entre eux-mêmes valent-ils mieux, ou Allāh le Dieu Unique, le Tout-Dominant de par Sa majesté et Sa gloire ?

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اے میرے قید خانہ کے ساتھیو! کیا (ایک دوسرے سے) اختلاف رکھنے والے خدا بہتر ہیں یا اللہ جو یکتا (اور) کامل غلبہ رکھنے والا ہے؟

English - Short Commentary Translation

‘O my two companions of the prison, are many lords differing among themselves better or Allah, the One, the Most Supreme?

English - Five Volume Translation

O my two companions of the prison, are diverse lords better or Allah, the One, the Most Supreme?[1543]

Commentary:

The verse means to say that whereas in this world of matter numerical strength counts for much, it is not so with God. Though He is One and Alone, He overpowers all and dominates over all.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اے زنداں کے ساتھیو، تم خود ہی سوچو کہ بہت سے متفرق رب بہتر ہیں یا وہ ایک اللہ جو سب غالب ہے؟

O [my] two companions of prison, are separate lords better or Allah, the One, the Prevailing?

اے قید خانہ کے رفیقو کیا کئی جدا جدا معبود بہتر ہیں یا اکیلا الله جو زبردست ہے
