وَاَقۡسَمُوۡا بِاللّٰہِ جَہۡدَ اَیۡمٰنِہِمۡ ۙ لَا یَبۡعَثُ اللّٰہُ مَنۡ یَّمُوۡتُ ۚ بَلٰی وَعۡدًا عَلَیۡہِ حَقًّا وَّلٰکِنَّ اَکۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths, that Allah will not raise up those who die. Nay, He will certainly raise them up — a promise He has made binding on Himself, but most people know not.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور انہوں نے اللہ کی پکی قسمیں کھائی ہیں کہ اللہ اسے پھر کبھی نہیں اٹھائے گا جو مرجائے گا۔ کیوں نہیں! یہ ایسا وعدہ ہے جسے پورا کرنا اس پر واجب ہے۔ لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے۔

French

Et ils jurent par Allāh, de leurs serments les plus solennels, qu’Allāh ne ressuscitera pas ceux qui meurent. Non, Il les ressuscitera assurément – une promesse qui L’engage, mais la plupart des gens ne savent pas.

Sie schwören bei Allah ihre feierlichsten Eide, Allah werde jene nicht auferwecken, die sterben. Nicht doch, Ihn bindet ein Versprechen, jedoch die meisten Menschen wissen es nicht.

他们凭安拉极热烈地立誓说, [d]安拉永不使死者复活。可是事实 [e]不是这样的, (他一定使他们复活。) 这是一个安拉的诺言, 他(安拉) 一定要实践它但大多数人不知道 (这个事实)。

Ed essi giurano nel nome di Allah con i loro più solenni giuramenti, che Allah non farà risorgere quelli che muoiono. No, Egli li farà risorgere di certo. È questa una promessa che Egli si è impegnato a mantenere, ma molti non lo sanno.

Spanish

Mas juran por Al-lah con sus juramentos más solemnes, que Al-lah no resucitará a quienes mueren. No, Él ciertamente los resucitará , una promesa que Él ha hecho obligándose a Sí Mismo, pero la mayoría de los hombres lo ignoran.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور انہوں نے اللہ کی بڑی زوردار قسمیں کھائی ہیں (کہ) جو مر جائے اللہ اسے (پھر کبھی) زندہ نہیں کرے گا (مگر حقیقت) یوں نہیں۔ یہ (تو ایک ایسا) وعدہ ہے جس (کے پورا کرنے) کا وہ (اللہ) ذمہ وار ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ (اس حقیقت کو) نہیں جانتے۔

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths, [b]that Allah will not raise up those who die. [c]Nay, He will certainly raise them up. This is a true promise the fulfilment of which is binding on Him but most men know not.

Commentary:

This verse mentions another device of the leaders of disbelief to deceive their followers. Seeing the ground giving way from under their feet and their followers wavering, they, in order to reinforce their weak position, resort to affirming repeatedly on solemn oaths that they are in the right. They resort to this device to hearten their vacillating and wavering followers whose faith in them becomes undermined by strong and unanswerable arguments that they hear from their Prophet and believers about the untenability of their views.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ لوگ اللہ کے نام سے کڑی کڑی قسمیں کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ "اللہ کسی مرنے والے کو پھر سے زندہ کر کے نہ اٹھائے گا" اٹھائے گا کیوں نہیں، یہ تو ایک وعدہ ہے جسے پورا کرنا اس نے اپنے اوپر واجب کر لیا ہے، مگر اکثر لوگ جانتے نہیں ہیں

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths [that] Allah will not resurrect one who dies. But yes - [it is] a true promise [binding] upon Him, but most of the people do not know.

اور الله کی سخت قسمیں کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ الله انہیں اٹھائے گا اس شخص کو جو مر جائے گا ہاں اس نے اپنے ذمہ پکا وعدہ کر لیا ہے لیکن بہت سے لوگ نہیں جانتے

And they swear by Allah strongest (of) their oaths, Allah will not resurrect (one) who dies. Nay, (it is) a promise upon Him (in) truth, but most (of) the mankind (do) not know.
