22:45

وَاَصۡحٰبُ مَدۡیَنَ ۖ وَکُذِّبَ مُوۡسٰی فَاَمۡلَیۡتُ لِلۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ ثُمَّ اَخَذۡتُہُمۡ ۖ فَکَیۡفَ کَانَ نَکِیۡرِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And the inhabitants of Midian. And Moses too was accused of falsehood. But I gave respite to the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how terrible was the change I effected in them!

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

نیز اصحابِ مدیَن نے۔ اور موسیٰ کو بھی جھٹلایا گیا۔ پس میں نے کافروں کو کچھ مہلت دی پھر میں نے انہیں پکڑ لیا۔ پس کیسی تھی میری عقوبت!

French

Et les habitants de Madian. Et Moïse aussi fut accusé de mensonge. Mais J’ai accordé du répit aux mécréants ; ensuite Je les ai saisis, alors qu’elle a été terrible Ma réprobation !

German

und die Bewohner von Midian. Auch Moses ward der Lüge geziehen. Allein Ich gewährte Aufschub den Ungläubigen; dann erfasste Ich sie, und wie war (die Folge) Meiner Verleugnung!

和麦德彦的居民 (也谴责他们的先知说谎。) 穆撒也被谴责说谎。我对不信者缓刑, 而后惩治了他们。(要考虑!) 拒绝我的, (结局) 是多么危险啊!

Italian

e gli abitanti di Madyan. E persino Mosè fu accusato di menzogna. Io però ho accordato una tregua ai miscredenti; poi li ho colpiti, e quanto terribile è stato il mutamento che Io ho arrecato in loro!

Spanish

Y los habitantes de Madián. Y Moisés fue igualmente acusado de falsedad. Pero Yo di un respiro a los incrédulos. Acto eguido caí sobre ellos ¡y qué terrible fue el cambio que efectué en ellos!

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور مدین کے اصحاب نے بھی (اپنے نبیوں کو) جھٹلایا تھا اور موسیٰ کی تکذیب بھی کی گئی تھی۔ پس میں نے انکار کرنے والوں کو کچھ ڈھیل دی پھر ان کو پکڑ لیا۔ پس (سوچو کہ) میرا انکار کیسا خطرناک تھا۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور اہل مدین بھی جھٹلا چکے ہیں اور موسیٰؑ بھی جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں ان سب منکرینِ حق کو میں نے پہلے مُہلت دی، پھر پکڑ لیا اب دیکھ لو کہ میری عقوبت کیسی تھی

English - Sahih

And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

اور مدین والے اپنے اپنے نبی کو جھٹلا چکے ہیں اور موسیٰ کو بھی جھٹلایا گیا پھر میں نے منکروں کو مہلت دی پھر میں نے انہیں پکڑا پھر میری پکڑ کیسی تھی

And the inhabitants (of) Madyan. And Musa was denied, so I granted respite to the disbelievers, then I seized them, and how was My punishment.

and the men of Midian; to Moses also they cried lies. And I respited the unbelievers, then I seized them; and how was My horror!

and so did the dwellers of Midian, and Moses too was branded a liar. Initially I granted respite to the unbelievers for a while and then seized them. How dreadful was My punishment!

And the people of Midian too. Moses was also accused of lies. So I allowed the infidels respite and then seized them. How was My reprobation then!

And the Companions of the Madyan People; and Moses was rejected (in the same way). But I granted respite to the Unbelievers, and (only) after that did I punish them: but how (terrible) was my rejection (of them)!
