23:84

لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا نَحۡنُ وَاٰبَآؤُنَا ہٰذَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ اِنۡ ہٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسٰطِیۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘This is what we have been promised before, we and our fathers. This is nothing but fables of the ancients.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً ہم سے اور ہمارے آباءو اجداد سے بھی اس سے پہلے یہی وعدہ کیا گیا تھا۔ یہ کچھ نہیں مگر پہلے لوگوں کی کہانیاں ہیں۔

French

« C’est ce qui nous a été promis auparavant, à nous et à nos pères. Ce ne sont que des fables des anciens. »

German

Dies ist uns verheißen worden, uns und unseren Vätern zuvor. Das sind ja nichts als Fabeln der Alten."

Chinese

[c]从前, 我们和我们的祖先也曾得到过这项诺言。(但是诺言并没兑现,) 这只是前人的故事罢了。

Italian

Questo è quanto ci è stato promesso prima, a noi e ai nostri padri. Ma non si tratta che di favole degli antichi.»

Spanish

“Esto es lo que se nos prometió antes, a nosotros y a nuestros padres. No son más que fábulas de los antiguos”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس سے پہلے اسی بات کا وعدہ ہم سے اور ہمارے باپ دادوں سے کیا گیا تھا (مگر ایسا نہیں ہوا) یہ تو صرف پہلوں کی کہانیاں ہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

ہم نے بھی یہ وعدے بہت سنے ہیں اور ہم سے پہلے ہمارے باپ دادا بھی سنتے رہے ہیں یہ محض افسانہائے پارینہ ہیں"

English - Sahih

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."

اس کا تو ہم سے اوراس سے پہلے اور ہمارے باپ دادا سے وعدہ ہوتا چلاآیا ہے یہ صرف اگلےلوگوں کی کہانیاں ہیں
