وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰہِ عَلَیۡکُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُہٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰہَ تَوَّابٌ حَکِیۡمٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And were it not for Allah’s grace and His mercy upon you, and the fact that Allah is Compassionate and Wise, you would have come to grief.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت تم پر نہ ہوتے اور یہ کہ اللہ بہت توبہ قبول کرنے والا (اور) بڑی حکمت والا ہے (تو تمہارا کیا بنتا)۔

French

Et n’était-ce la grâce d’Allāh sur vous et Sa miséricorde, et le fait qu’Allāh revient sans cesse avec compassion et est Sage, vous auriez été en détresse.

German

Wäre nicht Allahs Huld und Seine Barmherzigkeit über euch und (wäre es nicht) dass Allah vielvergebend, allweise ist (ihr wäret verloren gewesen).

如果没有安拉对你们的恩典和仁慈, 如果安拉不是怜悯的、明哲的, (那你们必定陷于灭亡境地。)

Italian

E se non fosse per la grazia di Allah e la Sua misericordia per voi, e per il fatto che Allah è Compassionevole e Saggio, sareste andati in rovina.

Spanish

Y si no fuera por la gracia de Al‑lah y Su Misericordia con vosotros, y por el hecho de que Al‑lah es Compasivo y Sabio, os habríais apesadumbrado.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت تم پر نہ ہوتی اور یہ نہ ہوتا کہ اللہ بڑا فضل کرنے والا (اور) بڑی حکمتوں والا ہے (تو تم لوگ تباہی میں پڑجاتے)

English - Short Commentary Translation

And were it not for Allah’s grace and His mercy upon you, and that Allah is Compassionate and Wise, you would have come to grief.

English - Five Volume Translation

And were it not for Allah’s grace and His mercy upon you, and the fact that Allah is Compassionate and Wise, you would have come to grief.[2599]

Commentary:

The verse means to say that God is merciful to mankind inasmuch as He has laid down in the Quran injunctions by acting upon which they can save themselves from those most dreadful social evils which are likely to undermine the whole social structure. The verse also implies a warning to Muslims to beware of these evils. It is, however, to be regretted that the Quranic injunctions in regard to these social evils have been honoured more in the breach than in the observance thereof.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

تم لوگوں پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کا رحم نہ ہوتا اور یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ اللہ بڑا التفات فرمانے والا اور حکیم ہے، تو (بیویوں پر الزام کا معاملہ تمہیں بڑی پیچیدگی میں ڈال دیتا)

English - Sahih

And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy... and because Allah is Accepting of repentance and Wise.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور اگر تم پر الله کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی اور یہ کہ الله توبہ قبول کرنے والا حکمت والا ہے (تو کیا کچھ نہ ہوتا)

English - Talal Itani

And if not (for) the Grace of Allah upon you and His Mercy - and that, Allah (is) Oft-Returning (to Mercy), All-Wise.
