إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا
11:107; 21:101; 67:8.
Commentary:
The verse means to say that the punishment which the disbelievers will receive will be overwhelming and all-embracing and in order to add to the bitterness of their pain and sense of humiliation and to make it complete and thorough all their organs will be made to feel it. In the present verse two organs—that of sight and hearing are mentioned.
11:107; 21:101; 67:8.
This and the next verse mean that the punishment will be overwhelming and all-embracing and in order to add to the bitterness of the disbelievers’ pain and sense of humiliation and to make it complete and thorough, all their organs will be made to feel it—the organs of sight and hearing—and being in great distress they will wish that death should make a speedy end of them.
