وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And the day when the heaven shall be rent asunder with the clouds, and the angels shall be sent down in large numbers —

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور (یاد کرو) جس دن آسمان بادلوں (کی گھن گرج) سے پھٹنے لگے گا اور فرشتے جوق در جوق اتارے جائیں گے۔

Et le jour où le ciel sera fendu par les grondements des nuages et qu’on fera descendre des anges en grand nombre –

Und an dem Tage, da der Himmel sich spalten wird mitsamt den Wolken und die Engel herabgesandt werden in großer Zahl –

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اس دن (کو یاد کرو) جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا اور بادل سر پر منڈلا رہے ہوں گے اور فرشتے باربار اتارے جائیں گے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And on that day [a]when the heaven shall burst asunder with the clouds overhanging it, and the angels shall be sent down in large numbers—

2:211.

And the day [a]when the heaven shall be rent asunder with the clouds, and the angels shall be sent down in large numbers—[2662]

2:211.

Commentary:

The reference in the verse may be to the Battle of Badr when rain came as a welcome relief to Muslims, and angels descended in large numbers to help them. Elsewhere the Quran says that in the battlefield of Badr as many as five thousand angels descended to attack disbelievers (3:125-126). It further says, "God revealed to the angels, saying, ‘I am with you; so give firmness to those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Smite, then, the upper parts of their necks, and smite off all finger-tips" (8:13).

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

آسمان کو چیرتا ہوا ایک بادل اس روز نمودار ہو گا اور فرشتوں کے پرے کے پرے اتار دیے جائیں گے

English - Sahih

And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.

اور جس دن آسمان بادل سے پھٹ جائے گا اور فرشتے بکثرت اتارے جائیں گے
