25:69

وَالَّذِیۡنَ لَا یَدۡعُوۡنَ مَعَ اللّٰہِ اِلٰہًا اٰخَرَ وَلَا یَقۡتُلُوۡنَ النَّفۡسَ الَّتِیۡ حَرَّمَ اللّٰہُ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ وَلَا یَزۡنُوۡنَ ۚ وَمَنۡ یَّفۡعَلۡ ذٰلِکَ یَلۡقَ اَثَامًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And those who call not on any other God along with Allah, nor kill a person that Allah has forbidden except for just cause, nor commit adultery (or fornication), and he who does that shall meet with the punishment of sin.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ لوگ جو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے اور کسی ایسی جان کو جسے اللہ نے حرمت بخشی ہو ناحق قتل نہیں کرتے اور زنا نہیں کرتے۔ اور جو کوئی ایسا کرے گا گناہ (کی سزا) پائے گا۔

French

Et qui n’invoquent aucun autre dieu avec Allāh, et qui ne tuent pas une personne qu’Allāh leur a interdit de tuer, sauf pour une juste cause, ne commettent ni l'adultère ni la fornication, et celui qui fait cela paiera le prix de son péché.

German

und die, welche keinen anderen Gott anrufen neben Allah, noch das Leben töten, das Allah unverletzlich gemacht hat, es sei denn nach Recht, noch Ehebruch begehen – und wer das tut, der soll Strafe erleiden.

他们除开安拉, 不呼唤任何其他的崇拜对象, 除了 (法定) 权利之外, [a]不杀死安拉所禁止 (杀死) 的人, 也不违犯奸淫。凡是做这类事情的人, 他将遭受 (其罪恶的) 惩罚。

Italian

E coloro che non invocano nessun altro Dio insieme ad Allah, né uccidono una persona che Allah ha vietato di uccidere, eccetto che per una giusta causa, né commettono fornicazione; e chi lo fa incorre nella punizione per il suo peccato.

Spanish

Y quienes no invocan a ningún otro dios junto con Al‑lah, ni matan a ninguna persona que Al‑lah haya prohibido, excepto por causa justa, ni cometen fornicación, pues quien cometa tales acciones pagará la sanción del pecado.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور وہ لوگ ایسے ہوتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی اور معبود کو نہیں پکارتے اور نہ کسی جان کو جسے اللہ نے حفاظت بخشی ہو قتل کرتے ہیں سوائے (شرعی) حق کے۔ اور نہ زنا کرتے ہیں اور جو کوئی ایسا کام کرے گا وہ اپنے گناہ کی جزا کو دیکھ لے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And those who call not on any other god along with Allah, [b]nor slay a person whose slaying Allah has forbidden except for a just cause, nor commit adultery[2090]––and he who does that shall meet the punishment of his sin;

6:152; 17:33, 34.

Idolatry, murder and adultery are the three basic sins and the fountainheads of individual depravity and social and sexual immorality. The Qur’an has reverted to these sins again and again.

English - Five Volume Translation

And those who call not on any other god along with Allah, [c]nor kill a person that Allah has forbidden except for just cause, nor commit adultery (or fornication), and he who does that shall meet with the punishment of sin;[2696]

6:152; 17:33, 34.

Important Words:

أثاماً (punishment of sin) is infinitive noun from أثم which means, he fell into or committed a sin or crime: he did what was unlawful. أثام means, the requital or recompense of a sin or crime or punishment thereof (Lane).

Commentary:

The verse deals with the three basic sins, i.e. idolatry, murder and adultery, the fountainheads of individual depravity and social and sexual immorality. The Quran has reverted to these three sins again and again.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

جو اللہ کے سوا کسی اور معبود کو نہیں پکارتے، اللہ کی حرام کی ہوئی کسی جان کو ناحق ہلاک نہیں کرتے، اور نہ زنا کے مرتکب ہوتے ہیں یہ کام جو کوئی کرے وہ اپنے گناہ کا بدلہ پائے گا

English - Sahih

And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اوروہ جو الله کے سوا کسی اور معبود کونہیں پکارتے اور اس شخص کوناحق قتل نہیں کرتے جسے الله نے حرام کر دیا ہے اور زنا نہیں کرتے اور جس شخص نے یہ کیا وہ گناہ میں جا پڑا

English - Talal Itani

And those who (do) not invoke with Allah god another, and (do) not [they] kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right and (do) not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever does that will meet a penalty.
