فَلَمَّا جَآءَ السَّحَرَۃُ قَالُوۡا لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ اَئِنَّ لَنَا لَاَجۡرًا اِنۡ کُنَّا نَحۡنُ الۡغٰلِبِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And, when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we have a reward if we are the winners?’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس جب جادوگر آ گئے تو انہوں نے فرعون سے کہا کیا ہمارے لئے کوئی اجر بھی ہوگا اگر ہم ہی غالب آنے والے ہوئے؟

French

Et, lorsque les magiciens arrivèrent, ils dirent à Pharaon : « Y aura-t-il une récompense pour nous si nous sommes vainqueurs ? »

Als die Zauberer kamen, da sprachen sie zu Pharao: "Wird es auch eine Belohnung für uns geben, wenn wir die Sieger sind?"

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پس جب جادوگر آگئے‘ تو انہوں نے فرعون سے کہا کہ اگر ہم غالب ہوئے تو کیا ہمیں کوئی انعام بھی ملے گا؟

English - Short Commentary Translation

And, when the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we have a reward[2112] if we are the winners?’

The sorcerers seemed to be professional traders in sorcery whose standard of morality was very low.

English - Five Volume Translation

And, when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we have a reward if we are the winners?’[2732]

Commentary:

The words, 'shall we have a reward if we are the winners,' show (1) that the magicians were professional sorcerers whose standard of morality was very low; and (2) that they were not sure of their success.

جب جادوگر میدان میں آ گئے تو انہوں نے فرعون سے کہا "ہمیں انعام تو ملے گا اگر ہم غالب رہے؟"

And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"

پھر جب جادوگر آئے تو فرعون سے کہا اگر ہم غالب آگئے تو کیا ہمیں کوئی بڑا انعام ملے گا
