English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And the magicians came to Pharaoh and said: ‘We shall, of course, have a reward, if we prevail.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور فرعون کے پاس جادوگر آئے اور انہوں نے کہا یقیناً ہمارے لئے کوئی بڑا اَجر ہوگا اگر ہم ہی غالب آ گئے۔
French
Et les magiciens vinrent à Pharaon et dirent : « Nous serons certainement récompensés, si nous sommes les vainqueurs. »
German
Und die Zauberer kamen zu Pharao (und) sprachen: "Uns wird doch gewiss eine Belohnung zuteil, wenn wir obsiegen?"

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور (اس کوشش کے نتیجہ میں) تمام جادو گر فرعون کے پاس جمع ہو گئے اور انہوں نے کہا اگر ہم غالب رہے تو کیا ہمیں کچھ انعام (بھی) ملے گا۔

And [d]the sorcerers came to Pharaoh and said: ‘We shall, of course, have a reward, if we prevail,’

چنانچہ جادوگر فرعون کے پاس آ گئے اُنہوں نے "اگر ہم غالب رہے تو ہمیں اس کا صلہ تو ضرور ملے گا؟"

The sorcerers seemed to be professional traders in sorcery whose standard of morality was very low.

The words, 'shall we have a reward if we are the winners,' show (1) that the magicians were professional sorcerers whose standard of morality was very low; and (2) that they were not sure of their success.
