وَالَّذِیۡۤ اَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ یَّغۡفِرَ لِیۡ خَطِیۡٓـَٔتِیۡ یَوۡمَ الدِّیۡنِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘And Who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور جس سے میں امید رکھتا ہوں کہ جزاسزا کے دن میری خطائیں بخش دے گا۔

French

Et Qui, je l’espère, me pardonnera mes offenses au Jour du Jugement.

German

und Der, ich hoffe, mir meine Fehler verzeihen wird am Tage des Gerichts.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اوروہ ایسا ہے کہ میں امید کرتا ہوں کہ وہ میرے گناہ جزا سزا کے وقت مجھے معاف کر دے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

‘And Who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment,’

English - Five Volume Translation

And Who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment.[2754A]

Important Words:

For difference between إثم (sin) and خطیئة (fault) see 4:113. Whereas خطیئة can be both intentional or unintentional, إثم is intentional and has a wider scope than خطیئة which applies to human weaknesses, frailties, faults and failings.

دین is derived from دان i.e. he obeyed; he was or became submissive and abased. دین means, obedience and submissiveness, religion; a statute or ordinance; reckoning or judgement; system or usages inherited from ancestors; custom or habit; conduct; a property or attribute; recompense or requital; compulsion; mastery, ascendancy or ruling power; retaliation (Lane and Aqrab).

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور جس سے میں امید رکھتا ہوں کہ روزِ جزا میں وہ میری خطا معاف فرما دے گا"

English - Sahih

And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."

اور وہ جو مجھے امید ہے کہ میرے گناہ قیامت کے دن مجھے بخش دے گا
