۞ قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Solomon said, ‘We shall see whether thou hast spoken the truth or whether thou art one of those who lie.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اس نے کہا ہم جائزہ لیں گے کہ کیا تُو نے سچ کہا ہے یا تُو جھوٹوں میں سے ہے۔

Salomon dit : « Nous verrons si tu as dit la vérité, ou si tu es de ceux qui mentent.

(Salomo) sprach: "Wir werden sehen, ob du die Wahrheit gesprochen hast oder ob du ein Lügner bist.

他 (素莱曼) 说: “我们将看你讲了实话, 还是谎言者![947]

鸟儿决不会知道说实话还是说谎话的。这节经文再一次证明胡德胡德不是一只鸟, 而是素莱曼政府中的一位重要官员。

Salomone disse: «Vedremo se hai detto la verità o se sei tra coloro che mentono.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اس پر سلیمان نے) کہا کہ ہم دیکھیں گے کہ تو نے سچ بولا ہے یا تو جھوٹوں میں سے ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Thereupon Solomon said, ‘We shall see whether thou hast spoken the truth or whether thou art a liar;’[2164]

Birds are never known to speak the truth or tell lies. The verse affords yet one more proof of Hud-hud being not a bird but an important official in Solomon’s government.

Solomon said, ‘We shall see whether thou hast spoken the truth or whether thou art one of those who lie.[2831]
