وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And, truly, thy Lord is gracious to mankind, but most of them are not grateful.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور (یہ کہ) تیرا ربّ یقیناً لوگوں پر بہت فضل کرنے والا ہے لیکن ان میں سے اکثر شکر نہیں کرتے۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور تیرا رب لوگوں پر فضل کرنے والا ہے۔ لیکن ان میں سے اکثر شکر نہیں کرتے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And, truly, [a]thy Lord is gracious to mankind, but most of them are not grateful.

10:61; 40:62.

And, truly, [d]thy Lord is gracious to mankind, but most of them are not grateful.[2862A]

Commentary:

To the demand for punishment made by disbelievers and mentioned in v. 72 above, the present and the preceding verse constitute a befitting answer. The preceding verse purported to say that the disbelievers will soon receive Divine punishment but it will not be a devastating and all-destructive punishment, but will only constitute a part of what they demanded because God is gracious to mankind i.e. in deference to the Holy Prophet his people will be shown mercy and like the disbelievers of the former Prophets they will not get a destructive punishment.

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ تیرا رب تو لوگوں پر بڑا فضل فرمانے والا ہے مگر اکثر لوگ شکر نہیں کرتے

English - Sahih

And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude."

اور بے شک تیرا رب تو لوگوں پر فضل کرتا ہے لیکن ان میں سے اکثر شکر نہیں کرتے
