28:37

فَلَمَّا جَآءَہُمۡ مُّوۡسٰی بِاٰیٰتِنَا بَیِّنٰتٍ قَالُوۡا مَا ہٰذَاۤ اِلَّا سِحۡرٌ مُّفۡتَرًی وَّمَا سَمِعۡنَا بِہٰذَا فِیۡۤ اٰبَآئِنَا الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And when Moses came to them with Our clear Signs, they said, ‘This is nothing but sorcery devised, and we never heard the like of this among our forefathers.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس جب موسیٰ ان کے پاس ہمارے کھلے کھلے نشانات لے کر آیا تو انہوں نے کہا یہ تو ایک گھڑا ہوا جادو ہے اور ہم نے اپنے گزشتہ آباءو اجداد میں ایسا نہیں سنا۔

French

Et lorsque Moïse vint à eux avec Nos Signes manifestes, ils dirent : « Ceci n’est que de la magie inventée, et nous n’avons jamais entendu parler de ces choses parmi nos aïeux. »

German

Als Moses zu ihnen kam mit Unseren deutlichen Zeichen, da sprachen sie: "Das ist nichts als ein Zaubertrug, und wir haben unter unseren Vorvätern nie dergleichen gehört."

Chinese

[b]当穆撒给他们带来了我明显的迹象, 他们 (法老的人民) 说: “这只是捏造的魔术。我们从我们的祖先那里从没听到过这样的事情。”

29:40.

Italian

E quando Mosè si recò da loro con i Nostri segni chiari, essi dissero: «Questa non è che stregoneria inventata, e noi non udimmo mai niente di simile tra i nostri antenati.»

Spanish

Mas cuando Moisés llegó a ellos con Nuestros Signos evidentes, dijeron: “Esto no es más que brujería inventada, ya que nunca hemos oído nada similar a esto entre nuestros antepasados”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پس جب موسیٰ ہماری کھلی کھلی آیتیں لے کر آیا تو فرعون کے لوگوں نے کہا‘ یہ تو ایک فریب ہے جو بنا لیا گیا ہے۔ ہم نے اپنے باپ دادوں سے ایسی بات کبھی نہیں سنی۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]And when Moses came to them with Our clear Signs, they said, ‘This is nothing but a forged sorcery, and we never heard the like of this among our forefathers.’

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

پھر جب موسیٰؑ اُن لوگوں کے پاس ہماری کھُلی کھُلی نشانیاں لے کر پہنچا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ کچھ نہیں ہے مگر بناوٹی جادوگر اور یہ باتیں تو ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کے زمانے میں کبھی سُنیں ہی نہیں

English - Sahih

But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, "This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers."

پھر جب موسیٰ ان کے پاس ہماری کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آیا تو کہنے لگے کہ یہ تو محض ایک بنایا ہوا جادو ہے اور ہم نے اسے اپنے پہلے باپ دادا سے سنا ہی نہیں ہے

But when came to them Musa with Our Signs clear, they said, "Not (is) this except a magic invented, and not we heard of this among our forefathers."

So when Moses came to them with Our signs, clear signs, they said, 'This is nothing but a forged sorcery. We never heard of this among our fathers, the ancients.'
