28:38

وَقَالَ مُوۡسٰی رَبِّیۡۤ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ جَآءَ بِالۡہُدٰی مِنۡ عِنۡدِہٖ وَمَنۡ تَکُوۡنُ لَہٗ عٰقِبَۃُ الدَّارِ ۖ اِنَّہٗ لَا یُفۡلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Moses said, ‘My Lord knows best who it is that has brought guidance from Him, and whose will be the reward of the final abode. Verily, the wrongdoers never prosper.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور موسیٰ نے کہا میرا ربّ سب سے زیادہ جانتا ہے کہ کون اس کی طرف سے ہدایت لے کر آیا ہے اور کون ہے جس کو آخرت کا گھر نصیب ہوگا۔ یقیناً ظالم کامیاب نہیں ہوا کرتے۔

French

Moïse dit : « Mon Seigneur sait le mieux qui a apporté la direction de Sa part, et à qui sera la récompense de la Demeure Finale. En vérité, les injustes ne prospèrent jamais. »

German

Moses sprach: "Mein Herr weiß am besten, wer es ist, der Führung von Ihm gebracht hat, und wem der glückselige Lohn der Wohnstatt zuteil werden wird. Wahrlich, die Frevler haben nie Erfolg."

Chinese

穆撒说: “我的养主最知道谁从他那里带来了正道, 谁的结局是好的。事实上, 不义的人永远不会成功。”

Italian

Mosè disse: «Il mio Signore conosce al meglio chi è venuto con la guida da parte Sua e per chi sarà la ricompensa della dimora definitiva. Per certo, i malvagi non prospereranno mai.»

Spanish

Moisés dijo: “Mi Señor sabe mejor que nadie quién ha traído Su guía y de quienes será la recompensa de la morada final. En verdad, los injustos nunca prosperarán”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور موسیٰ نے کہا‘ میرا رب اس کو جو اس کی طرف سے ہدایت لائے خوب جانتا ہے اور اس کو بھی جس کا انجام اچھا ہو۔ حق یہ ہے کہ ظالم کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہوتے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Moses said, ‘My Lord knows best who it is that has brought guidance from Him, and whose will be the reward of the final abode. Verily, the wrongdoers never prosper.’

English - Five Volume Translation

Moses said, ‘My Lord knows best who it is that has brought guidance from Him, and whose will be the reward of the final abode. Verily, the wrongdoers never prosper.’[2902]

Commentary:

The words, "the wrongdoers never prosper," lay down an immutable law of God and an infallible criterion to test the truth of a claimant to Divine revelation. The law is that a false claimant to Divine revelation or a false Prophet never succeeds in his mission. Sooner or later he must come to naught.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

موسیٰؑ نے جواب دیا "میرا رب اُس شخص کے حال سے خوب واقف ہے جو اس کی طرف سے ہدایت لے کر آیا ہے اور وہی بہتر جانتا ہے کہ آخری انجام کس کا اچھا ہونا ہے، حق یہ ہے کہ ظالم کبھی فلاح نہیں پاتے"

English - Sahih

And Moses said, "My Lord is more knowing [than we or you] of who has come with guidance from Him and to whom will be succession in the home. Indeed, wrongdoers do not succeed."

اور موسیٰ نے کہا میرا رب خوب جانتاہے جو اس کی طرف سے ہدایت لے کر آیا ہے اور جس کے لیے آخرت کا گھر ہے بے شک ظالم نجات نہیں پائیں گے

English - Talal Itani

And Musa said, "My Lord knows best of who has come with [the] guidance from Him and who - will be for him the good end in the Hereafter. Indeed, not will be successful the wrongdoers."

But Moses said, 'My Lord knows very well who comes with the guidance from Him, and shall possess the Ultimate Abode; surely the evildoers will not prosper.'

English - Maududi

Moses replied: "My Lord knows best who comes with guidance from Him, and also whose end will be the best in the Hereafter. As for the wrongdoers, they shall not prosper."

English - Ahmed Ali

But Moses said: "My Lord knows well who has come with guidance from Him, and for whom is the guerdon of Paradise. But surely the wicked will not prosper."

Moses said: "My Lord knows best who it is that comes with guidance from Him and whose end will be best in the Hereafter: certain it is that the wrong-doers will not prosper."
