3:161

إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَنصُرُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ ۗ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

If Allah help you, none shall overcome you; but if He forsake you, then who is there that can help you beside Him? In Allah, then, let the believers put their trust.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اگر اللہ تمہاری نصرت کرے تو کوئی تم پر غالب نہیں آسکتا ۔ اور اگر وہ تمہیں چھوڑ دے تو کون ہے جو اس کے خلاف تمہاری مدد کرے گا؟ اور چاہئے کہ مومن اللہ ہی پر توکّل کریں۔

French

Si Allāh vous vient en aide, personne ne triomphera de vous ; mais s’Il vous délaisse, qui donc en dehors de Lui pourra vous aider ? C’est en Allāh donc que les croyants doivent placer leur confiance.

German

Wenn Allah euch hilft, so wird keiner euch überwinden; verlässt Er euch aber, wer kann euch dann helfen ohne Ihn? Auf Allah sollen darum die Gläubigen ihr Vertrauen setzen.

Chinese

如果安拉帮助你们, 那就没有人可以胜过你们; 如果他放弃你们, 那么, 除他以外, 谁还能帮助你们呢? 信仰的人要信托安拉啊!

Italian

Se Allah vi aiuta, nessuno potrà trionfare su di voi; ma se Egli vi abbandona, chi potrà aiutarvi all'infuori di Lui? In Allah dunque i credenti ripongano la loro fiducia.

Spanish

Si Al-lah os ayuda, nadie podrá venceros; pero si os abandona, ¿quién podrá ayudaros aparte de Él? ¡Que los creyentes pongan, pues, en Al-lah su confianza!

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اگر اللہ تمہاری مدد کرے تو تم پر کوئی غالب نہیں (آسکتا) اور اگر وہ تمہاری مدد چھوڑ دے تو اسے چھوڑ کر کون ہے جو تمہاری مدد کرے گا اور مومنوں کو اللہ پر (ہی) توکل کرنا چاہیے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; but if He forsakes you, then who is there that can help you beside[516] Him? In Allah, then, let the believers put their trust.

The expression, Min Ba‘dihi, translated as, "beside Him," literally means, "after Him" and may be rendered as "in opposition to Him."

English - Five Volume Translation

If Allah help you, none shall overcome you; but if He forsake you, then who is there that can help you beside Him? In Allah, then, let the believers put their trust.[443]

Commentary:

The words من بعدہ translated as, beside Him, literally mean "after Him" and may also be rendered as "in opposition to Him". The verse throws further light on the philosophy of توکل (trust in God). In spite of making use of the necessary means, a true believer should, and in fact does, put his trust in God alone.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اللہ تمہاری مدد پر ہو تو کوئی طاقت تم پر غالب آنے والی نہیں، اور وہ تمہیں چھوڑ دے، تو اس کے بعد کون ہے جو تمہاری مدد کرسکتا ہو؟ پس جو سچے مومن ہیں ان کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ رکھنا چاہیے

English - Sahih

If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him? And upon Allah let the believers rely.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

ااگر الله تمہاری مدد کرے گا تو تم پر کوئی غالب نہ ہوسکے گا اور اگر اس نے مدد چھوڑ دی تو پھر ایسا کون ہے جو اس کے بعد تمہاری مدد کر سکے اور مسلمانوں کو الله ہی پر بھروسہ کرنا چاہیے

English - Talal Itani

If helps you Allah, then not (can) overcome [for] you, and if He forsakes you, then who (is) the one who can help you from after Him? And on Allah - let put (their) trust. the believers.

If God helps you, none can overcome you; but if He forsakes you, who then can help you after Him? Therefore in God let the believers put all their trust.

If Allah helps you none shall prevail over you; if He forsakes you then who can help you? It is in Allah that the believers should put their trust.

If God is there to help you none will overcome you; and if He forsake you, who will help you other than Him? So only in God should the faithful place their trust.
