۞ قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَإِنَّآ أَوْ إِيَّاكُمْ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًى أَوْ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Say, ‘Who gives you sustenance from the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘Allah. Either we or you are on right guidance or in manifest error.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تُو (کافروں سے) پوچھ کہ کون ہے جو تمہیں آسمانوں اور زمین سے رزق عطا کرتا ہے؟ (خود ہی) کہہ دے کہ اللہ۔ اور (یہ بھی کہہ دے کہ) یقیناً ہم یا تم ہدایت پر ہیں یا کھلی کھلی گمراہی میں۔

French

Dis : « Qui vous fournit de la subsistance des cieux et de la terre ? » Dis : « Allāh. Soit nous sommes, soit vous êtes, sur une bonne voie ou dans une erreur manifeste. »

German

Sprich: "Wer gibt euch Nahrung von den Himmeln und der Erde?" Sprich: "Allah. Entweder wir sind oder ihr seid auf dem rechten Weg oder in offenkundigem Irrtum."

Chinese

你说: “(人们啊!) [b]谁从天地赐予你们供养?” 你 (自己回答) 说: “安拉。” (再说:) “我们或你们是在正道上的, 或在明显的迷途中。”

Di': «Chi vi dà sostentamento dal cielo e dalla terra?» Rispondi: «Allah. O noi o voi siamo sotto la giusta guida, oppure in manifesto errore.»

Spanish

Diles: “¿Quién os da el sostén desde los cielos y la tierra?”. Diles: “Al‑lah. O nosotros o vosotros seguimos la guía correcta o estamos en error evidente”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اور) تو کہہ دے (کہ اے لوگو)! آسمانوں اور زمین میں سے تمہیں کون رزق دیتا ہے (اور پھر خود ہی اس سوال کے جواب میں) کہہ اللہ (اور کون) اور میں اور[1] تم یا تو ہدایت پر قائم ہیں یا کھلی کھلی گمراہی میں مبتلا ہیں۔

یہ لفّ و نشر کی مثال ہے۔ یعنی دو گروہوں کا ذکر ہے اور دو جزاؤں کا۔ پہلی اور دوسری کو اکٹھا بیان کر دیا ہے ترجمہ کرتے وقت پہلی جزا کو پہلی قوم کی طرف پھیرا جائے گا اور دوسری جزا کو دوسری قوم کی طرف‘ اور مطلب یہ ہو جائے گا کہ میں تو ہدایت پر ہوں اور تم جن کا بعد میں ذکر ہے بعد میں مذکورہ جزا پاؤ گے یعنی گمراہی تمہارے حصہ میں آئے گی۔ اسے علم معانی میں لفّ و نشر کہتے ہیں۔ یعنی بولنے میں اختصار اور تشریح میں تفصیل بیان ہو جاتی ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Say, [a]‘Who gives you sustenance from the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘Allah. Either We or you are on right guidance or in manifest error.’[2393]

10:32; 27:65; 35:4.

As surely, we (the believers) are on the right, so surely, you (the disbelievers) are in error.

English - Five Volume Translation

Say, [a]‘Who gives you sustenance from the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘Allah. Either we or you are on right guidance or in manifest error.’[3151]

Commentary:

The fact that the Quran itself answers the question "Who gives you sustenance from the heavens and the earth?" by saying that it is Allah Who does so, shows that there could possibly be no other answer to this question except the one here given by the Quran.

The words, "Either we or you are on right guidance or in manifest error," mean that as surely we (the believers) are on the right, so surely you (the disbelievers) are in error.

(اے نبیؐ) اِن سے پوچھو، "کون تم کو آسمانوں اور زمین سے رزق دیتا ہے؟" کہو "اللہ اب لامحالہ ہم میں اور تم میں سے کوئی ایک ہی ہدایت پر ہے یا کھلی گمراہی میں پڑا ہوا ہے"

Say, "Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth?" Say, "Allah. And indeed, we or you are either upon guidance or in clear error."

The words, "Either we or you are on right guidance or in manifest error," mean that as surely we (the believers) are on the right, so surely you (the disbelievers) are in error.
