34:33

قَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ اسۡتَکۡبَرُوۡا لِلَّذِیۡنَ اسۡتُضۡعِفُوۡۤا اَنَحۡنُ صَدَدۡنٰکُمۡ عَنِ الۡہُدٰی بَعۡدَ اِذۡ جَآءَکُمۡ ۖ بَلۡ کُنۡتُمۡ مُّجۡرِمِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Those who were proud will say to those who were considered weak, ‘Was it we that kept you away from the guidance, after it had come to you? Nay, it was you yourselves who were guilty.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

جن لوگوں نے تکبر کیا وہ ان سے جو کمزور کردیئے گئے تھے ‘ کہیں گے کیا ہم نے تمہیں ہدایت سے روکا تھا بعد اس کے جب وہ تمہارے پاس آئی؟ (نہیں) بلکہ تم خود ہی مجرم تھے۔

French

Ceux qui étaient arrogants diront à ceux qui étaient rendus faibles : « Est-ce nous qui vous avons empêchés de suivre la direction, après qu’elle vous fut venue ? Non, mais c’est vous-mêmes qui étiez coupables. »

German

Jene, die hochmütig waren, werden zu denen, die verachtet waren, sprechen: "Waren wir es etwa, die euch vom rechten Weg abwendig machten, nachdem er zu euch gekommen? Nein, ihr selbst wart die Schuldigen."

[e]骄傲自大的人向微弱的人说: “当正道来到你们时, 我们曾阻止你们 (遵守它)? (绝不是这样的,) 事实上, 你们自己是犯罪的人。”

Quelli che erano stati arroganti risponderanno a quelli che erano stati considerati deboli: «Siamo stati noi forse a tenervi lontani dalla guida, dopo che essa era giunta a voi? No, eravate voi stessi colpevoli.»

Los que fueron orgullosos dirán a los considerados débiles: “¿Acaso fuimos nosotros los que os apartamos de la guía, después de que os vino? No, fuisteis vosotros mismos los culpables”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(تب) متکبر طبقہ جواب میں کمزور طبقہ سے کہے گا‘ کہ جب ہدایت تمہارے پاس آگئی تھی تو کیا ہم نے تمہیں اس سے روکا تھا؟ (ہرگز نہیں) بلکہ تم خود ہی مجرم تھے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]Those who were big with pride will say to those who were considered weak, ‘Was it we that kept you away from the guidance, after it had come to you? Nay, it was you yourselves who were guilty.’

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

وہ بڑے بننے والے ان دبے ہوئے لوگوں کو جواب دیں گے "کیا ہم نے تمہیں اُس ہدایت سے روکا تھا جو تمہارے پاس آئی تھی؟ نہیں، بلکہ تم خود مجرم تھے"

English - Sahih

Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, "Did we avert you from guidance after it had come to you? Rather, you were criminals."

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

جو لوگ بڑے بنتے تھے ان سے کہیں گے جو کمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے کیا ہم نے تمہیں ہدایت سے روکا تھا بعد اس کے کہ وہ تمہارے پاس آ چکی تھی بلکہ تم خود ہی مجرم تھے

Will say those who were arrogant to those who were oppressed, "Did we avert you from the guidance after when it had come to you? Nay, you were criminals."

The arrogant ones will retort to those who were suppressed: “What! Did we bar you from the guidance after it came to you? Not at all; rather you yourselves were evil-doers.”

The arrogant will say to the weak: "Did we hold you back from guidance after it had come to you? Certainly not. In fact you were yourselves guilty."

The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.
