35:12

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ۚ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِۦٓ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then He made you pairs. And no female conceives, nor does she bring forth a child without His knowledge. And no one whose life is prolonged has his life prolonged, nor is anything diminished of his life, but it is recorded in a Book. That surely is easy for Allah.

اور اللہ نے تمہیں مٹی سے پیدا کیا۔ پھر نطفے سے پھر تمہیں جوڑے بنایا۔ اور کوئی مادہ حاملہ نہیں ہوتی اور نہ ہی وہ بچہ جنتی ہے مگر اس کے علم کے مطابق۔ اور کوئی معمّر (انسان) بڑی عمر نہیں پاتا اور نہ اس کی عمر سے کچھ کم کیا جاتا ہے مگر وہ (ایک) کتاب میں موجود ہے۔ یقیناً یہ (بات) اللہ پر آسان ہے۔

French

Et Allāh vous a créés de poussière, ensuite d’une goutte de sperme, ensuite Il a fait de vous des couples. Et aucune femelle ne conçoit, ni ne met au monde un enfant sans qu’Il ne le sache. Et personne, dont la vie est prolongée, n’a la vie prolongée, et rien n’est diminué de sa vie non plus, sans que ce ne soit inscrit dans un Livre. En vérité, cela est facile pour Allāh.

German

Allah hat euch aus Erde erschaffen, dann aus einem Samentropfen, dann machte Er euch zu Paaren. Und kein Weib wird schwanger oder gebiert ohne Sein Wissen. Und keiner, dem das Leben verlängert wird, (sieht) sein Leben verlängert, noch wird sein Leben irgend verringert, ohne dass es in einem Buch* stünde. Das ist ein leichtes für Allah.

[b]安拉先后以泥土和精液创造了你们, 然后使你们成为配偶。安拉知道每个妇女的怀孕和生产, 任何人寿命的增减都记录在书册中。[1054]这对于安拉是容易的。

这节经文意示一个预言: 正如一滴微不足道的精液能发展成一个发育完全和体格均称的人那样, 地位低而贫穷的穆斯林总有一天会发展成为一个强大的社团。至于对妇女怀孕、生育、人的寿命的增减等说法, 意指另一个预言: 反对穆圣的人的子孙将会减少, 而穆斯林却会增多。经文中译成 “都记录在书册中” 那句话, 也可意示为 “是依照安拉的律令的”。

E Allah vi ha creati dalla polvere, quindi da una goccia di sperma, poi vi ha fatto a coppie. E nessuna donna concepisce o partorisce un bimbo senza che Lui lo sappia. E nessuno, a cui viene prolungata la vita, ha la sua vita prolungata o accorciata in alcun modo, senza che tutto ciò sia registrato in un libro. Questo, per certo, riesce facile ad Allah.

Spanish

Al-lah os creó del polvo, después de una gota de esperma y a ontinuación os dispuso en parejas. Ninguna mujer concibe ni da a luz un niño sin Su conocimiento. Y nadie cuya vida sea prolongada tiene prolongada su vida, ni nada se le retira de su vida sin que esté registrado en un Libro. Esto, en verdad, es fácil para Al‑lah.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اللہ نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے اس کے بعد نطفہ سے۔ پھر جوڑوں کی شکل میں بنایا ہے۔ اور کسی عورت کو حمل نہیں ہوتا اور نہ وہ بچہ جنتی ہے مگر وہ خدا کے علم کے مطابق ہوتا ہے اور نہ کوئی بڑی عمر والا بڑی عمر پاتا ہے اور نہ کسی کی عمر میں کوئی کمی کی جاتی ہے مگر وہ ایک قانون کے مطابق ہے۔ یہ بات اللہ کے لئے بالکل آسان ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then He made you pairs. And no female conceives, nor does she bring forth a child save with His knowledge. And no one is granted long life who is granted long life, nor is anything diminished of his life, but it is all recorded in a Book.[2411] That, surely, is easy for Allah.

The verse implies a prophecy that just as out of an insignificant sperm-drop there grows a well-proportioned and fully-developed human being, similarly the lowly and poor Muslims will one day grow into a mighty community. Reference to what a female conceives and what she gives birth to, and to the lengthening and diminishing of a man’s life implies another prophecy that the progeny of opponents of the Holy Prophet will decrease and that of Muslims increase. The words in the text translated as, 'it is all recorded in a Book,' may also mean, 'it is in accordance with Divine law.'

[a]And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then He made you pairs. And no female conceives, nor does she bring forth a child save with His knowledge. And no one is granted long life who is granted long life, nor is anything diminished of his life, but it is recorded in a Book. That surely is easy for Allah.[3185]

Commentary:

By referring to the very humble and insignificant origin of man the verse draws attention to the lowly beginnings of Islam and the extremely poor condition of the early Muslims and implies a prophecy that just as out of an insignificant sperm-drop there grows a well-proportioned and fully-developed human being, similarly the lowly and poor Muslims will one day grow into a mighty community.

The latter part of the verse is related to what a female conceives and what she gives birth to, and to the lengthening and diminishing of a man’s life implies another prophecy that the progeny of opponents of the Holy Prophet will one day become devoted followers of Islam.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اللہ نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا، پھر نطفہ سے، پھر تمہارے جوڑے بنا دیے (یعنی مرد اور عورت) کوئی عورت حاملہ نہیں ہوتی اور نہ بچہ جنتی ہے مگر یہ سب کچھ اللہ کے علم میں ہوتا ہے کوئی عمر پانے والا عمر نہیں پاتا اور نہ کسی کی عمر میں کچھ کمی ہوتی ہے مگر یہ سب کچھ ایک کتاب میں لکھا ہوتا ہے اللہ کے لیے یہ بہت آسان کام ہے

English - Sahih

And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.

اور الله ہی نے تمہیں مٹی سے پیدا کیا پھر نطفہ سے پھر تمہیں جوڑے بنایا اور کوئی مادہ حاملہ نہیں ہو تی اور نہ وہ جنتی ہے مگر اس کے علم سے اور نہ کوئی بڑی عمر والا عمر دیا جاتا ہے اور نہ اس کی عمر کم کی جاتی ہے مگر وہ کتاب میں درج ہے بے شک یہ بات الله پر آسان ہے

And Allah created you from dust, then from a semen-drop; then He made you pairs. And not conceives any female and not gives birth except with His knowledge. And not is granted life any aged person and not is lessened from his life but (is) in a Register. Indeed, that for Allah (is) easy.

English - Arberry

God created you of dust then of a sperm-drop, then He made you pairs. No female bears or brings forth, save with His knowledge; and none is given long life who is given long life neither is any diminished in his life, but it is in a Book. Surely that is easy for God.

English - Maududi

Allah created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm, then He made you into pairs. No female conceives, nor delivers (a child) except with His knowledge. None is given a long life nor is any diminished in his life but it is written in a Book. Surely that is quite easy for Allah.

English - Ahmed Ali

It is God who created you from dust, then from a sperm, then formed you into pairs. Neither does a female conceive nor gives birth without His knowledge; nor do the old grow older or become younger in years but in accordance with the law (of nature). Indeed the law of God works inevitably.

And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy to Allah.
