There was not one of them but treated their Messengers as liars, so My punishment rightly overtook them.

(ان میں سے) ہر ایک نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا پس (ان پر) میری سزا واجب ہوگئی۔
French
Tous, sans exception, avaient rejeté les Messagers ; alors Mon châtiment sur eux était devenu inévitable.

Ein jeder hatte die Gesandten der Lüge geziehen, drum war Meine Strafe gerecht.

他们都诬蔑 (他们的) 使者是说谎的, [b]所以 (我的) 惩罚 (最后) 袭击了 (他们)。

Commentary:
The Meccan disbelievers are here warned that people wealthier and much stronger than they had lived before them. They rejected and opposed their Prophets with the result that they were destroyed. If they (the Meccans) opposed the Holy Prophet they also will meet a similar fate.

ان میں سے ہر ایک نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا اور میری عقوبت کا فیصلہ اس پر چسپاں ہو کر رہا

Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified.
