39:27

فَاَذَاقَہُمُ اللّٰہُ الۡخِزۡیَ فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الۡاٰخِرَۃِ اَکۡبَرُ ۚ لَوۡ کَانُوۡا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

So Allah made them taste humiliation in the present life and the punishment of the Hereafter will certainly be greater, if they but knew!

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس اللہ نے انہیں اس دنیا کی زندگی میں بھی ذلت کا مزہ چکھایا جبکہ آخرت کا عذاب بہت بڑھ کر ہے۔ کاش وہ جانتے۔

French

Allāh leur a donc fait goûter l’ignominie dans la vie de ce monde ; mais le châtiment de l’au-delà sera certainement plus grand, si seulement ils savaient !

German

Und Allah ließ sie Schande kosten im irdischen Leben; doch die Strafe im Jenseits wird gewiss größer sein, wenn sie es nur wüssten!

Chinese

安拉使他们在今生尝受耻辱, 而[a]后世的惩罚必将更大, 如果他们往常知道, 多么好啊!

13:35; 68:34.

Italian

Così Allah fece assaggiare loro l'umiliazione nella vita presente e il castigo nell'Aldilà sarà certamente maggiore, se solo sapessero!

Spanish

Al‑lah les ha hecho, pues, probar la humillación en la presente vida y el castigo del Más Allá será ciertamente mayor; ¡ojalá lo supieran!

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اللہ نے ان کو دنیوی زندگی کی ذلت بھی دی اور آخرت میں جو عذاب آئے گا اگر وہ سمجھیں تو وہ اس سے بھی بڑا ہوگا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

So Allah made them taste humiliation in the present life and [b]the punishment of the Hereafter will certainly be greater, if they but knew.

پھر اللہ نے ان کو دنیا ہی کی زندگی میں رسوائی کا مزہ چکھایا، اور آخرت کا عذاب تو اس سے شدید تر ہے، کاش یہ لوگ جانتے

English - Sahih

So Allah made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

پھر الله نے ان کو دنیا ہی کی زندگی میں رسوائی کا مزہ چکھایا اور آخرت کا عذاب تو اور بھی زیادہ ہے کاش وہ جانتے

so God let them taste degradation in this present life; and the chastisement of the world to come is assuredly greater, did they but know.
