أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَٰحَسْرَتَىٰ عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطتُ فِى جَنۢبِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ ٱلسَّٰخِرِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
“Lest a soul should say, ‘O my grief for my remissness in my duty in respect of Allah! and surely I was among those who scoffed;’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
ایسا نہ ہو کہ کوئی شخص یہ کہے: وائے حسرت مجھ پر! اس کوتاہی پر جو میں اللہ کے پہلو میں (یعنی اس کی نظر کے سامنے) کرتا رہا اور میں تو محض مذاق اُڑانے والوں میں سے تھا۔
French
Pour qu’aucune âme ne dise : « Hélas ! Je me suis montré négligent bien qu’étant en présence d'Allāh ! Et en vérité j’étais du nombre des railleurs. »
German
damit nicht etwa einer spräche: "O wehe mir, um dessentwillen, was ich gegenüber Allah versäumte! denn wahrlich, ich gehörte zu den Spöttern";

以免有人会说: [b]“哦, 我真伤心, 我疏忽了我对安拉的 (责任)! 我往常确是一个嘲笑者。”

Affinché nessun'anima possa dire: «Ahimè! Ho mancato in condotta nei confronti di Allah. Certamente, sono stato anch'io un derisore.»

“Para que ningún alma pueda decir, “¡Ay de mí! Incumplí mi obligación a pesar de estar en la presencia de Al‑lah; y ciertamente fui de aquellos que se burlaron”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تا ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم میں سے کوئی شخص یہ کہنے لگے کہ جو کچھ اللہ کے بارے میں میں نے کمی کی ہے اس کی بنا پر مجھ پر افسوس! اور میں تو (وحی الٰہی) کو حقیر سمجھتا رہا تھا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
Lest a soul should say, [b]‘O, woe is me in that I neglected my duty in respect of Allah! Surely, I was among the scoffers.’

اردو ترجمہ مودودی
کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ بعد میں کوئی شخص کہے "افسوس میری اُس تقصیر پر جو میں اللہ کی جناب میں کرتا رہا، بلکہ میں تو الٹا مذاق اڑانے والوں میں شامل تھا"
