وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَحْسَنَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
“And follow the best teaching that has been revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes upon you unawares, while you perceive not;
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور تمہاری طرف جو تمہارے ربّ کی طرف سے نازل کیا گیا ہے اُس کے بہترین حصّہ کی پیروی کرو پیشتر اس کے کہ عذاب تمہیں اچانک آپکڑے جبکہ تم (اس کا) شعور نہ رکھتے ہو۔
French
Et suivez le meilleur enseignement qui vous a été envoyé de la part de votre Seigneur, avant que le châtiment ne vous vienne à l’improviste, sans que vous ne vous en aperceviez ;
German
Und folget dem Besten*, das zu euch von eurem Herrn herabgesandt ward, bevor die Strafe unversehens über euch kommt, da ihr es nicht merkt;

“你们要在不察觉时, 惩罚突然降临你们之前, 遵循你们养主所降示你们最好的 (教义)。”

E seguite l'insegnamento migliore che vi è stato rivelato dal vostro Signore, prima che vi raggiunga il castigo all'improvviso, senza che ve ne accorgiate.

“Seguid la mejor Enseñanza, que os ha sido revelada por vuestro Señor, antes de que el castigo os sobrevenga de improviso, mientras no lo esperáis;
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جو کچھ تمہاری طرف اُترا ہے اس میں سے (اپنے مطابق حال) سب سے بہتر[1] حکم کی پیروی کرو۔ پیشتر اس کے کہ تم پر اچانک عذاب آجائے اور تم جانتے بھی نہ ہو۔
یعنی جو زیادہ سے زیادہ توفیق ہو اس کے مطابق کام کرنے کی کوشش کرو۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
‘And follow the best Teaching that has been revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes upon you suddenly, while you perceive not.’
English - Five Volume Translation
And follow the best Teaching that has been revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes upon you suddenly, while you perceive not;[3477]
Commentary:
This verse continues the theme of the preceding one. Man has first to make himself deserving of Divine mercy by following the best Teaching that has been revealed—the Quran—and only then to demand it. It is honest endeavour that is demanded of men and the rest is made up by God’s mercy.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اور پیروی اختیار کر لو اپنے رب کی بھیجی ہوئی کتاب کے بہترین پہلو کی، قبل اِس کے کہ تم پر اچانک عذاب آئے اور تم کو خبر بھی نہ ہو

And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,

اور ان اچھی باتوں کی پیروی کرو جو تمہارے رب کی طرف سے نازل کی گئی ہیں اس سے پہلے کہ تم پر ناگہاں عذاب آ جائے اور تمہیں خبر بھی نہ ہو

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس *

یعنی جو زیادہ سے زیادہ توفیق ہو اس کے مطابق کام کرنے کی کوشش کرو۔
