4:74

وَلَئِنۡ اَصٰبَکُمۡ فَضۡلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ لَیَقُوۡلَنَّ کَاَنۡ لَّمۡ تَکُنۡۢ بَیۡنَکُمۡ وَبَیۡنَہٗ مَوَدَّۃٌ یّٰلَیۡتَنِیۡ کُنۡتُ مَعَہُمۡ فَاَفُوۡزَ فَوۡزًا عَظِیۡمًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

But if there comes to you some good fortune from Allah, he says, as if there were no love between you and him, ‘Would that I had been with them, then should I have indeed achieved a great success!’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر تمہیں اللہ کی طرف سے کوئی فضل نصیب ہو تو وہ ضرور اس طرح کہے گا، گویا تمہارے اور اس کے درمیان کوئی محبت کا تعلق نہیں، کہ کاش میں بھی ان کے ساتھ ہوتا تو بہت بڑی کامیابی حاصل کرتا۔

French

Mais si c’est une grâce qu’Allāh vous envoie, il dira, comme si aucune amitié ne vous liait : « Que n’ai-je été avec eux ! J’aurais alors remporté un très grand succès ! »

German

Begegnet euch aber ein Glück von Allah, dann sagt er, als wäre keine Freundschaft zwischen euch und ihm: "Wäre ich doch bei ihnen gewesen, dann hätte ich einen großen Erfolg errungen!"

Chinese

如果安拉降赐恩典于你们, 他必定说: “但愿我与他们同在, 以便我也获得极大的成功!” 好像他和你们之间没有过任何友谊的关系一样。

Italian

Ma se Allah vi concede buona fortuna, dice, come se non esistesse alcun amore tra voi e lui: «Mi fossi trovato con loro avrei in verità raggiunto un grande successo!»

Spanish

Pero si os llega un favor procedente de Al-lah, dice, como si no existiera amor entre vosotros y él: “Ojalá hubiese estado con ellos, pues habría conseguido un gran éxito”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر اللہ کی طرف سے تمہیں کوئی فضل (کی بات) پہنچے تو وہ لازماًکہہ اٹھتے ہیں کہ کاش ہم (بھی) ان کے ساتھ ہوتے تا کہ (بہت) بڑی کامیابی پاتے گویا کہ ان کے اور تمہارے درمیان کوئی دوستانہ تعلق تھا ہی نہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

But if there comes to you some good fortune from Allah, he says, as if there were no love between you and him, ‘Would that I had been with them, then should I have indeed achieved a great success!’

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور اگر اللہ کی طرف سے تم پر فضل ہو تو کہتا ہے اور اس طرح کہتا ہے کہ گویا تمہارے اور اس کے درمیان محبت کا تو کوئی تعلق تھا ہی نہیں کہ کاش میں بھی ان کے ساتھ ہوتا تو بڑا کام بن جاتا

English - Sahih

But if bounty comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment."

اور اگر الله کی طرف سے تم پر فضل ہو تو اس طرح کہنے لگتا ہے کہ گویا تمہارے اور اس کے درمیان دوستی کا کوئی تعلق ہی نہیں کہ کاش میں بھی ان کے ساتھ ہوتا تو بڑی مراد پاتا

English - Talal Itani

And if befalls you bounty from Allah he would surely say as if (had) not there been between you and between him any affection, "Oh! I wish I had been with them then I would have attained a success great."

Chinese Commentary ^*

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

English - Arberry

But if a bounty from God visits you, he will surely say, as if there had never been any affection between you and him, 'Would that I had been with them, to attain a mighty triumph!'

And if a bounty from Allah is given you, he says - and says as if there never was any affection between you and him - 'Oh, would that I had been with them, I would have come by a great gain.

But if success comes to you from God he will say, as though no love existed between you and him: "I wish I were with them, for I would have certainly met with great success."

But if good fortune comes to you from Allah, they would be sure to say - as if there had never been Ties of affection between you and them - "Oh! I wish I had been with them; a fine thing should I then have made of it!"
